🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month 🌟 TWO-N, INC In honor of women’s history month we dug into the Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women list, https://lnkd.in/eWzhWFUd. For over two decades, this prestigious list has shone a spotlight on extraordinary women shaping the world. Since its inception in 2004, the Forbes list has consistently showcased groundbreaking women, with over 50% representing trailblazers in business and politics. Among the top 10 most enduring female figures in politics are luminaries such as Christine Lagarde, Queen Elizabeth II, Nancy Pelosi, and Angela Merkel to name a few. But, there’s an alarming twist: Historically, women in politics have consistently ranked higher than those in business but recent years have seen a seismic shift, women in business are surpassing those in politics on the list. This prompts us to ask: Does the change in the Forbes list reflect broader global shifts in the perception of women in politics today? Consider these staggering statistics: Based on the 2023 data, only 25.5% of parliamentary seats worldwide are held by women according to UN Women. Additionally, women make up only 7.7% of heads of state and 5.2% of heads of government globally, according to the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Despite progress, the journey towards gender parity remains sluggish, with projections by the IPU suggesting we won't achieve equality until 2063. It’s imperative that we empower the next generation of leaders to ensure we don’t miss out on the transformative impact they could bring in decades to come.#WomenLeaders #GenderParity #Empowerment Project contributors: Jasmine Guy Hermann Zschiegner

We were not born but rather transform into women! Yesterday was the International Women's Day, I received many heartfelt messages but honestly those messages made me to have another deep thought about what being a woman is all about. We might be growing but rather still be a girl. Are we ready to accept and deliver our responsibilities in the society? Are we ready to move Impact across the world? This year theme is INSPIRE INCLUSION, but my concern is if this come to pass, Do we have women with capacity to carry this on? Every March 8 is to celebrate us individually as a woman but the journey to womanhood shouldn't be what we don't want to embark on. The world need women with capacity! Women that can speak and fight for the next generations! Women that can make decisions that will stand! Are we ready to arise and shine?🥺 Are we ready to take up responsibilities? PS: I don't think it's too late to say "Happy International Women's Day"♥️✨ Cheers to growth and strength!🥂 #womenchangemakers #women #global

Kiernan Trebach celebrates that March is Women's History Month and this Friday, March 8 is International Women's Day. Women's History Month began as Women's History Week in 1978 in Santa Rosa, California. March 8 was chosen to coincide with International Women's Day. It was officially designated "Women's History Week" in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter's very first presidential Proclamation. In 1987 Congress designated March Women's History Month. Last year we celebrated Kiernan Trebach's first female Managing Partner, which is impressive, but even more so when you consider that as of 2020: 38.3% of attorneys were women, 47% of associates were women, 32% of non-equity partners were women, 22% of equity partners were women and 12% of managing partners were women. Kiernan Trebach continues to be ahead of the curve in numbers and ethos. #DefenseLitigation #LitigatonManagement Wishing everyone a Happy Women's History Month and International Women's Day! https://lnkd.in/gbSv3i3s #WomensHistoryMonth #genderequality #inclusionanddiversity #HireX #HerStory #InternationalWomensDay #WomensDay #IWD2024 #WomenInLeadership

The 10th annual Women in the Workplace report reveals both progress and challenges in corporate America. Women now hold 29% of C-suite roles, up from 17% in 2015. However, this progress is fragile, with only 7% of these roles held by women of color. The increase in female leadership is often due to the expansion of C-suite roles rather than intentional policy changes - companies must adopt sustainable strategies to ensure true equity and diversity. The journey to parity is predicted to take 50 years, which, as Lean In’s Editor-in-Chief, Caroline Fairchild, stated at the Women in Work Summit, is far too long. With focused efforts, this timeline could be shortened. We have a responsibility to keep fighting for the next generation of women in work. #WomenInWork #WiWSummitUS #SupportingWomen #GenderParity

Today is International Women’s Day, and today we are celebrating everyone who advocates for equality, both in the business world and in life. This isn’t a day about elevating women above men; it’s a day where we should look at where we’ve come from, and the journey ahead of us all to get to a point where we all enjoy true equality. Women face certain challenges in the business world that men do not; that fact is undeniable. As is the fact that women are underrepresented in leadership roles. But instead of getting upset about this and blaming the wrong people, let’s take positive action to challenge the belief systems and barriers that hold women back.

Every day is International Women's Day. #IWD But if there's a spotlight today, let's use it to shine a light on these stats: - Since 2015, the number of women in the C-suite has increased from 17 to 28%, and the representation of women at the VP and SVP levels has also improved significantly. - However, women represent roughly 1 in 4 C-suite leaders, and women of color just 1 in 16. - Because of the broken rung, in a typical company, men end up holding 60% of manager-level positions, while women hold just 40%. As a result, there are fewer women to promote to director, and the number of women decreases at every subsequent level. So what can we do better? Support women, hire women, promote women. That's it! https://lnkd.in/gHQpAMQh
