Live, Laugh, Love" is a motivational three-word phrase that became a popular slogan on motivational posters and home decor in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The phrase is an abridged form of the 1904 poem "Success" by Bessie Anderson Stanley which begins: “He achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much”. ** The question remains - what does it mean to live well? Is living well measured in terms of success, wealth, power or even apparent happiness and laughter. We all know that beneath the surface things can be a lot different to what they appear to be. The true meaning and enjoyment of life can only be discovered when your relationship with God is right. Living, laughing and loving are wonderful in those phases of life when we are privileged to enjoy them. But, in a corrupted fallen world life will not always be smooth. God invites us to live a life free from worry by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, when we trust in Him for salvation. When we have the right priorities in place by putting Him first, all of these other things will be provided for us as well. His promises are true. His love endures forever. Jesus is our greatest and only true example. 🙌 His life of love and His teachings in the Word guide us to live like Him.
