HEART MATTERS - LOVE IS A MATTER OF THE HEART The word “love” is possibly the most misused and abused word today. People can love their parents, love their children, love their spouses and love their friends. But they can also love their pets, love their clothes and cars, love their movies, in fact, they can love innumerable living and non-living things. They can often only simply make love! Love as a subject matter is probably the most covered subject apart from war and peace. Thankfully, God teaches us in the Bible there are only three types of love we should care about: (1) God’s love for us, particularly, in Christ Jesus; (2) Our love for God through Christ Jesus and, (3) Our selfless love for others. As there are many fakes of these three “loves”, how can we tell if we truly and sincerely love God? And how can we tell when people truly and sincerely love us? In solving these questions, you will be surprised by the amount of fake love in endless circulation everywhere! It is so easy to be deceived and to deceive ourselves too.
