Almost like the ApplePay of Africa I would say! You can send - receive and pay with your money transferring instantly digital across the platform. Super reliable. On Thursday 7th November, 2024; I had the privilege to attend alx_africa Found My Place: Leadership and Innovation- Insights from Mapula Bodibe, a dynamic CEO of MTN, Rwanda. During the session, Mapula Bodibe shared her career journey to becoming the CEO of MTN, Rwanda: * Studied Economics… * Once a Unilever staff – gained solid foundation in marketing. * Worked with other firms before finding her place with MTN. * Joined MTN in 2005 – found purpose working with MTN Insight from her career journey and work with MTN – when you finally found your place, you found purpose, you feel fulfilled.   Key takeaways from the session: * Continuous learning and having a growth mindset are paramount to success in life. * When you focus on the purpose; the fears and doubts will disappear, because you become focused on solving a problem. * Self-confident – this has a lot to do with one’s achievement. * Authenticity, sincerity and transparency is highly appreciated. * Networking – surround yourself with people that inspires, challenge and brings out the best in you. * Focus on your strength – identify the skill sets that makes you unique. * Have a picture of who you want to be and set milestones, long & short-term goals towards achieving it – set ambitious goals. * Be so competent in what you can do so as not to give room for any form of criticism – excellence is a defense. I hope these insights inspires you as much as it inspires me to be the best version of myself in providing solutions to our small world.
