🙏❤️🌈 A Heartfelt Request from Soulhaven Foundation 🌈❤️🙏 Amazing Community & Supporters, In our continuous journey to spread holistic well-being and sustainable living, we’ve encountered a unique challenge that brings us to seek your collective wisdom and networks. As many of you know, Soulhaven Foundation is the beacon of our mission to nurture holistic lifestyles for the betterment of our community and the planet. Our dream is to extend our reach and impact through a digital sanctuary that reflects our mission and values. This is where we would like your help. We wish to secure the domain Soulhaven.org to establish a dedicated online home for our non-profit endeavors. Unfortunately, our attempts to acquire this domain through conventional means have not been successful. Despite our best efforts through GoDaddy’s brokering service, we’ve been unable to establish contact with the current holder, who is associated with Sonic ISP from an earlier period of domain hosting. This domain holds immense potential for union with our existing site, Soulhaven.com. It represents a significant step forward in uniting our holistic lifestyles business with our non-profit mission under the Soulhaven banner. We believe in the power of community and the incredible network of professionals on LinkedIn. If anyone has insights, connections, or advice on how we might reach out to the owner of Soulhaven.org or if there are alternative strategies we should consider, your guidance would be invaluable. Moreover, should the current holder see this message, we are open to discussing options that could benefit both parties, including a tax-deductible donation of the domain to Soulhaven Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Together, we can make Soulhaven.org a reality, creating a space that fosters healing, growth, and holistic living for all. Thank you for any help, advice, or share you can offer to help us in this mission. Our hearts and hopes are aligned toward making a positive change, and with your help, we can make a significant stride toward that dream. May our journeys be blessed with peace, love, and rainbow light! 🙏❤️🌈🙌 Ms. Elizabeth Munoz Founder, Soulhaven Foundation 🌈 Join us in creating a haven for souls to flourish. 🌈 #SoulhavenFoundation #Healing #Unity #DomainJourney #Support #Nonprofit Sonic

Thank you to Katie Stephenson for the invite to Cafe St Honore to hear about LandAid's ambitions for the next 5 years. Completely sobering to hear about the numbers of homeless youth, which are rising nationally and the brilliant work being done by LandAid and other charities such as Four Square in Edinburgh led by Jane Devine to provide shelter, support and a stepping stone for people to secure permanent accommodation. Did you know that numbers of homelessness are on the rise, with the largest group being 16-25 year olds? These people are often left homeless after a family break up or through domestic violence. They then have no support network to help them live on their own or understand how the world works. They are disadvantaged almost immediately. I can have no idea of how difficult this must be, but I want to help. There are approximately 267,000 homes sitting empty in the UK, which means 6 months or longer. With a housing crisis taking centre stage and an appalling number of people finding themselves homeless, action is necessary. LandAid's ambitions are mighty and I am looking forward to supporting the charity with Dentons and all of the other partners. However, to eradicate homelessness it requires policy, it requires charities to support the policy and it requires volunteers and businesses to support the charities. I would encourage you to look at the work of LandAid- https://www.landaid.org/ and if you are in the property or construction industry I would recommend speaking with Katie to find out how you can support the work being done by this charity whether it is fundraising, pro bono or volunteering. Better yet, lobby for change. Otherwise, there are lots of charities who are looking for help. We talk about the housing crisis in our industry almost daily, but we don't always think about the people this is actually affecting. It's time we do. Gaelen Doherty #eradicatehomelessness

Why don't we think about how to fund good endings in the charitable sector? When it comes to funding, the tendency is to focus on start-up costs, developing new services or growing areas of work. But bad endings can leave a trail of devastation - loss of creative capital and tangible resources, along with leaving people and communities without potentially vital areas of support. My colleagues at The Decelerator delve into the potential for collaboration between funders and organisations around better endings... https://lnkd.in/eBsKnwSZ

So helpful
At The Decelerator, we hear these statements at least once a week…but not (yet) in the same rooms: 🤲 Charity Leader: "We’re considering closure but don’t want to tell our funders yet." 💰 Funder: "Too often, we find out about closures too late to help with a better ending or a good transition." Our latest substack shares a few ideas for how people and organisations on both sides of the funding dance might act today for better outcomes tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/enQAMDTh

Is #CorporateSponsorship for the #Arts dead? This was one of the great questions raised in conversations at the Culture Business Conference. At a time, as I have oft remarked, when #ArtsOrganisations are having to speak to so many priorities, how can you also add the interests of for-profit entities that want cheaper-than-an-advertising-campaign exposure and engagement at the cost of a smattering of in-kind or minimal cash donation? For anyone in the SME #ArtsSector, you might wonder if #CorporateSponsorship for the #Arts was ever really live. Why? Because in my experience, it is very difficult to align the interests of sponsors and arts institutions that are so resource strapped (which is why you are trying to get sponsorship) that you are caught in a subsistence business model 'death roll' trying to fulfill sponsor expectations. And like the project-specific funding of yore whereby you could not embed infrastructure costs into funding applications, you usually ended up in a #FunctionalDeficit (or as your canny Scottish grandma might say, 'robbing Peter to pay Paul'). There are endless amounts of cutesy advice you will find on the interwebs, like 'encourage your staff and volunteers to wear sponsor merchandise' but you're an #ArtsOrganisation not a billboard. So, perhaps the news of the death of #CorporateSponsorship is slightly exaggerated. But it might need life support. And greater incentivisation from governments. https://lnkd.in/gEx6KhPV
