#ThrowbackThursday: Riding the Rollercoaster of Emotions 🎢 🌟 Stepping off the #GoogleCloudNext Conference, attending King of Leon Concert at Allegiant Stadium, I find myself on a whirlwind journey of emotions over the past 48 hours in Las Vegas. 🤝 Thankful Thursday to Matt Ridenour! Can't wait to be at I/O this year—fingers crossed… 🔮 "Gratitude is not just a reaction to getting what you want, but an acknowledgment of all that you have." - Unknown 💸 In 1998, Google's founders got their first investment, a $100,000 check. It took some time to deposit because they had not set up a bank account. To celebrate, they had breakfast at Burger King. 💭 I miss my teen years in the 90s... don't you all miss the 90s? I know you do... The AI rush these days feels similar to the 90s... Until the dot-com bubble and Sept 11th dropped everybody to their knees. 🇺🇸 And yet we rose, kept going with tears rolling down our faces, in shock, dusted ourselves off, swore revenge by becoming even more determined, mad, and resilient. We can never give that up as a nation. Persistence has always been the American way. Adversity brings us closer together, like nothing else. As long as we stand united in life and business, we can achieve great things as a nation. She learned this in the 90s. The Internet is our playground, where many dreams take flight. Who would've thought that Google will end up shaping our perceptions of reality decades later... 🤔 One never knows how their idea will completely transform the world. 🦁 Learning how to roar 🦁 🤗 😅 I was reading a book with my kids called “The Lion inside”. There’s a mouse that wants to learn how to roar and the lion, the head of the pack, who is scared of mice. It teaches kids that appearances can be deceiving, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individual strengths and the power of collaboration. It made me think of when I started to scale business at Cloudflare back in 2017. I recalled going to trade shows and all bigger competitors were looking down on me and the team. But I kept going and only focused on myself and what I wanted to achieve for the business. Business kept growing and few years later I found that the same people from those big competitors were looking now at me with curiosity and interest. Some of them even came to congratulate me and the team on the great journey we had. It felt really good and re-invigorating. Sometimes overcoming self-doubt can lead to remarkable achievements: that is when you have learned to roar :) #scaleup #growthstrategies #storytelling #revenuegrowth

To folks coming off the campaign trail ---- advance teams, transition staff, everyone who poured their hearts into this ---- you're incredible. Five-city days planned down to the minute, juggling local mayors with national press, pulling off perfect events in places that wouldn't even show up on Google Maps three days ago? That's some next-level wizardry right there. Saw the smallest sliver of this firsthand back (mumbles) years ago. So when you're ready to think about what's next, here's the thing: you can do things in your sleep that many folks in the private sector can only dream of. Seriously ---- your ability to solve impossible problems on zero notice and make it look easy? We need that. Just something to think about when you're ready. a bit of my story with Usercentrics …..😳 Received the “Trailblazer” award recently took me back to when I first got my offer from this amazing data privacy and tech-driven company—1.5 years ago. Picture 19-year-old me, bursting with joy in my tiny student room after landing the role of Account Development Representative. I was so excited I could’ve jumped to the moon! But then came the big questions: What is this role? 🤔 How do I prove my worth—not just to the company, but to myself? Fast forward, and I’m no longer that wide-eyed kid (though I still have that enthusiasm!). The ADR role has been a journey of self-discovery, helping me uncover my potential, strengths, and weaknesses. With my incredible team, we've shown our value to the organization and ourselves. Stepping into the Senior role, I feel a surge of confidence but still face those familiar questions: What does this role mean? What value can I bring? It’s like standing at the edge of a beautiful forest, eager to explore what lies ahead. 🌳 As I continue this journey, I realize it’s about the memories we create and the people we meet along the way. Nothing can stop me from discovering new paths as a truly Trailblazer 🕵️

Such an amazing experience attending the Datadog and DORA meetup at Google! 🌟 This event provided valuable insights into Datadog’s capabilities in monitoring and security for cloud applications, as well as the importance of DORA’s key metrics for driving DevOps performance. Thanks to Google for organizing this fantastic session and to Kanchana Patlolla, Norbert Kremer and Amanda Lewis for the deep dive into these powerful tools. Guess what? Today is my 4th Googleversary! 🎉 It's been an incredible journey so far, and I've had the privilege of working with some of the most talented engineers, researchers, product managers, and field consultants in the world. Together, we've made some real progress in building cloud infrastructure for our largest customers, contributing to weather research, and now bringing Google’s artificial intelligence to business and consumers. One of the things I appreciate most at Google is its deep pocket of technology and engineering knowledge, and Google’s openness. I can read some of the most complex yet readable design and code. It feels that I am communicating with those passionate engineers all the time. Anything I wish that we could do better. Sure there is, in my personal opinion, it is to focus more. Focus on engineering excellence, focus on the most important product, focus on an easy to understand mission that rallies us around it. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my Google journey, I’d like to focus on Speech technology. I believe that this field has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology, and I'm eager to be a part of it.
