In the coming weeks, millions of corn and soy farmers would have already planted their crop in the season.
For farmers, each growing season starts with planting the seed. Ultimately, with proper crop management and favorable weather, the seed becomes a good harvest, rewarding the farmer for what has been invested all season long.
However, this only becomes a reality with passion and the will to overcome challenges, and we want to learn from farmers. They are at the center of what we do at Bayer.
This is why we started the Farmer Voice survey.
What are farmers' biggest concerns in their livelihood?
What do farmers need to be successful today & in the future?
How do farmers adapt with the impact of agriculture and climate change on their farms?
For us, we're bringing the farmer's voice to the conversation in addressing global challenges in front of us--food security and climate change. More importantly, we're working to deliver the right innovations, expertise, and interventions to farmers so that they can continue to be successful in producing food for a growing population while helping to restore nature.
This is how we want to reward farmers across the globe for making their voices heard and for showing their perseverance and passion to feed the world in each and every season.
#TeamBayer is working on the next Farmer Voice survey and should be ready in the coming months.
In the meantime, I encourage everyone in my network to keep advocating for farmers & listen to their story when you get the opportunity.
