Writing to hit a word count 🤢 Writing the perfect amount for that query 😎 One of the common misconceptions about content is that you need to hit a specific word count to rank content. Don't get me wrong, longer content tends to sometimes to perform better just since there's more "value" offered, but it doesn't always guarantee success. The best you can do is find that perfect amount to make your content as comprehensive/relevant as possible. The goal is information gain and relevancy. Create enough where your content can be considered to be relevant for a person searching for that query.

The Everlasting Content Battle: Quality vs. Quantity 😖 [Think Pareto + answer 2 questions]. 👉 20% of your content produces 80% of your results — Pareto’s 80/20 rule has certainly been my experience over the years. So let’s ask (and answer) two questions: 👉#1. Is it about value over volume (quality over quantity)?  Yes and no. 👉#2. Is there anything wrong with writing fewer articles?  No — often less is more. More doesn’t necessarily mean better. We all know the online pandemic of redundant/poor content. If you want your readers to be hungry for your creations — instead of overeating them — create unique content that matters. Make it so compelling, unique and/or well-researched that your readers cannot wait to be notified of your new post. Still, if you’re serious about your content strategy/journey, you may need to produce a big number of words, especially before you know what works and focus on that. Thoughts? 🤔How many words does it take to write a blog post? Sounds like a bad joke, but as a reader have you noticed how articles and posts are getting longer and longer? Or, as a content producer, do you find yourself trying to figure out how to turn "how to clean a lint screen" into a robust 900 word article? I think it's getting a little ridiculous. The word count should be whatever it takes to cover the topic at hand. If you don't want to write long content, write hyper-focused articles. If you are having a writer's block, you need to consume more quality content. The more you feed yourself with quality content, the more it will be easier for you to create content. I'm talking from experience.

Here are 3 types of content you should be writing/creating - not limited to one platform. - Content that attract people attention to you. - Content that pull readers closer - stories, etc - Content that proves your expertise in your field. Don't forget to experiment often.

"Bite, Snack and Meal" Approach … This content writing strategy provides three different formats to accommodate various readers. ·     Bite: Short piece of the content, such as a headline or sentence or two that conveys the main idea of the content. ·     Snack: Abstract of the content, which is a little longer and more detailed than the bite. ·     Meal: Full version of the content, which is the longest and most detailed. The idea behind this approach is to have readers consume content depending on their appetites for reading.

Simply said, optimising your content with internal links and keywords is insufficient; you also need to pay attention to the user experience. In other words, avoid jargon and write in a clear, concise manner to make your writing reader-friendly. Additionally, you should use headers to improve the scanability of your content. Consider the following when you write and edit your content: Is it clear enough? Does it make sense as a whole? Is it interesting enough? You might need to make some adjustments if "no" is the response to any of these questions. #ContentMarketing #Blogging #BlogStrategy
