Here is my first ever graphic designing internship completion certificate. Digital Empowerment Network provides me a great platform where I can test my skills in terms of completing different tasks throughout four weeks. There were a lot of different illustrations and designs that I made for the first time only due to this internship. It was a great experience in the Digital Empowerment Network. #graphics #internship #illustrations #DEP #designing #experience #photoshop #illustrator

This post will be shouting about the amazing work our intern Sana Jayaraj has been doing over the past 4 months. 🧡 Sana has been our Graphic Designer intern for the past 4 months, and we’re so proud of the work she’s done. No coffee runs or basic research tasks found here - working alongside our Creative Director, here’s how Sana has delivered outstanding visuals for us and our clients. 1/ Social media 📲 Sana put together a variety of graphics together for numerous clients during her time with us. Whether it was a client in recruitment, tech or for our own agency, she delivered visuals that not only looked fantastic, but received excellent engagement. 2/ Website antics 👩💻 Without any previous website design experience, Sana attacked this with passion in her stride. She added some fun icons to our site and experimented with colour contrasts, spicing it up in a very Small City way. But she didn’t just do our site - she also assisted in designing a website for a tech client of ours. So yes, her skills are super transferable across different industries! 3/ Photoshoot guru 📸 As Small City was going through their rebrand process, Sana suggested that the Directors should get some sparkly new photos to really showcase our personality. So that’s what we did. After putting together a mood board and ideas for video / stills, we think the end result came out pretty good, if we do say so ourselves. 4/ Animation 📹 Coming soon! Small City’s new website has a very fun video on the homepage. Sana not only filmed the footage, but added some text animations to the video once it had been edited by our Creative Director. It’s funky, it’ fresh, it’s very us. 👀 So, that’s that. As a business leader, if there’s anything you can take away from this - it’s that investing in young talent and trusting them to get the job done is 100% the right route to take. 🤝 Well done Sana, we’re so proud of all you’ve achieved during your time with us! Big thank you to all the The Manchester Metropolitan University team and Kenny L. for helping us with this internship opportunity! #InternshipProgramme #MMU #MMUIntern #RiseInternship #Internship #AgencyIntern

Meet our cheerful graphic design intern, Fatanah, our latest addition to the creative team! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐂𝐈? Submitting my finished tasks and receiving feedback! It feels great when I can complete my work for the day. I’ve learned a lot from the feedback I’ve received - how to better convey information visually, and how to make these visuals presentable. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰! Since childhood, I have loved collecting items. I collect stamps, keychains, comic books, tin can pull tabs, and even bread tags! A while ago, I started collecting stickers, labels and tickets of where I've been to or what I've eaten. I paste them in a notebook as mementos, and I also jot down the dates if I remember them. It's kind of like my personal visual journal. It's always fun going through them as I recall the memories associated with each of them. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐂𝐈? Efficiency in doing tasks in terms of planning and tracking of my work progress. In TCI, every task is documented in our daily tracker, Ora. Ora helps us prioritize our tasks as it allows collaboration, scheduling of deadlines, and systematically updating work progress. MIND-BLOWING Internship & Mentorship Secrets Revealed! Recently I had a word with a fresher animator who just started working as an Intern in an animation studio Actually I am conducting a 3 days animation workshop on 28th to 30th November 2024 Because of which I approached the animator on linkedin to ask for registering for the workshop I got the reply as "I GOT AN INTERNSHIP AND I AM NOT HAVING TIME TO ATTEND THIS" My reply was - Why are you doing an internship? Animator replied - Because I want to learn animation the right way and I want to start working as a Paid animator I mentioned that if your goal is to learn animation then surely don't miss out this workshop because what you might not learn in internship, you'll learn here in just 3 days But still the choice was Internship over Workshop which is fine because this is common in Indian students That is when I thought of recording this video for sharing the differences between both and guiding you choose the right one DO WATCH THIS COMPLETE VIDEO PREFERABLY AT 1.5X Before you start the video, if you're also a FRESHER animator struggling to start working then you don't miss out this workshop Just one day to go and the registrations will be closed. My 50 cents for a someone looking for a career in the visual communication and design space at a top studio. Don't reach out for internships until you know the basics. Your chances of getting into a top studio are very lean. Let's say you know the basics, do 2-3 awesome passion projects. Go beyond just the branding and identity (maybe some basic UI for the website). Make a 10 page deck, not 50. Make sure the 10 pages are the best ones you have designed in your life. This is your learning curve too. Don't export it until you are happy and feel proud about yourself. Compare your work with the ones uploaded in the agencies portfolio and your gut feeling will give you the answer on if you should apply to that agency or not. Your skill and hard work is going to define your career like any other quantum of life. #careerindesign
