We Listen, We Don’t Judge 🎄✨ With the year coming to an end and the holiday buzz in full swing, here’s a real question; how are you really doing? Are you thriving, surviving, or just winging it? Be honest; we listen, we don’t judge! It’s been a whirlwind year, and like many of you, I’ve been juggling a lot. I recently took a short break to recharge and refocus, and let me tell you… I missed this space !!!! Now that I’m back, I can practically smell Christmas in the air. By the way, is your office closing for the year? Because mine isn’t, and I’m starting to feel like I’m on Santa’s elf duty with no break in sight (God Abeg)😂🎅 Soon enough, we’ll see people sharing their incredible accomplishments, and that’s great! But guess what? If you’re like me, in a country that’s been pressing our necks for sports; surviving the year is a BIG WIN. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If all you did this year was survive, got through each day, tackled challenges and still showed up, that’s more than enough. It’s an accomplishment too. No pressure; celebrating the little wins counts just as much. Let’s make this a safe space to share, reflect, and connect. Whether you’re feeling festive, overwhelmed, or just somewhere in between, drop your thoughts below. Oh, and while we’re at it, what’s one thing you’re looking forward to this holiday season? Let’s spark some joy and end the year on a high note! #EndOfYearReflections #HolidayPrep #WeListenWeDontJudge #ChristmasVibes #NoPressureJustJoy #CommunityEngagement

Watch Out for Seasonal Silliness Around the Holidays: Down in Texas, just like everywhere else in the United States, there are quite a few holidays that bring the silliness out in people — reasons to drink, celebrate with friends, set off fireworks, and generally get a little rowdy and obnoxious. While Christmas may be called the “silly season,” every manager knows he or she has to be prepared for similar silliness during: -Super Bowl Sunday -St. Patrick’s Day -Cinco De Mayo -Memorial Day -Fourth of July -Labor Day -High school football championships (this is huge in Texas!) -Halloween Beware of Sunday and Monday holidays or three-day weekends, because people invariably call in “sick” the next day. Or if it’s a Friday holiday — or a three-day weekend — people will be itching to get out the door on a Thursday. And if it’s a middle-of-the-week holiday — Fourth of July was on Thursday this year — you’re going to get a lot of vacation requests for that week, or at the very least a lot of suddenly-sick people on the day before and the day after. So how do you prevent seasonal silliness? First, just accept that it’s going to happen. You can’t control people’s thoughts or desires. If they want to risk blowing off their fingers for some St. Patrick’s Day fireworks (don’t ask), nothing you say can stop them.
