𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, but the reality is that while it's a period of celebration for some, it can absolutely be a period of sadness for others.
I've experienced both joy and sadness across the years over different holidays, and I just wanted to put this out as a bit of a gentle statement to my network.
-- If you've lost a family member or close friend and this is your first Thanksgiving and Christmas without them, I am thinking of you today.
-- If you've suffered a major setback in the last year job-wise or otherwise, and find yourself in this season of the year reflecting on that in ways that are painful for you, I'm thinking of you today.
-- If you're in spot where little joy is visible today, my hope is that you are able to find joy in the cracks and spaces where joy exists and that you are able to extrapolate that feeling into other areas of your world.
In short, if you're in my network, I wanted to extend a Happy Thanksgiving from my family to you and yours today.
As we near the end of 2024, I wish you fulfilment, contentment, and peace in the days ahead. May we balance the wheel between celebration of our accomplishments, fellowship with our loved ones, and (where necessary) learning our lessons along the road from here to 2025.
