Calling all advocates, allies, and individuals with lived experiences of disability! I'm conducting a piece of research as part of an exciting new Accessible Me Ltd project called #A11yShip – an accessibility-themed escape room-like experience designed to put participants in the metaphorical shoes of people with disabilities. Our mission? To raise awareness of how disabilities and medical conditions can create challenges in things being Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust on a daily basis – aligning with the principles of accessibility. As part of this, I'm building a portfolio of detailed personas, much like buyer personas but tailored to represent diverse experiences with disability. These personas will be used to help web developers, L&D professionals, and content creators better understand and cater to the needs of individuals with varying disabilities. Examples of personas include: A. Ahmed, who has cerebral palsy and uses voice-recognition software. B. Betty, who is blind and relies on screen-reading software. C. Charlie, who has dyslexia and struggles with large blocks of text and certain colour combinations. D. Dierdre , who has broken fingers and cannot use a mouse. But I need your help! I’m inviting people with disabilities, or those who care for someone with a disability, to participate in a short, trauma-informed, and accessible survey. Your feedback will help create resources to educate others and build better, more inclusive digital experiences. Take the survey https://lnkd.in/ejn8uhcE If you're interested in contributing or know someone who might be, please share and help spread the word. Every voice matters as we work toward a future where disability doesn’t limit opportunity! Together, we can break down barriers and create a world that works for everyone. #Accessibility #Inclusion #EqualOpportunity #DisabilityAwareness #A11y #EscapeRoom #TeamBuilding
