❌Selling HubSpot to companies that don't want to change their old ways of working is like trying to change your parents at 75.🧓🏻👵🏻 You know it's not going to happen, let alone work well! It's only now at 40 that I've stopped wanting to change people, to convince them that they could be better off. Because it's exhausting for both of us.😰 And what endures persists, as my Yoga teacher would say. 🧘♀️ Besides, as the audios on social say... What you don't change, You are choosing. And so if your business is going badly, you are choosing it. If your processes don't work, you are choosing it. If you can't grow, you are choosing it. If the team doesn't work well, you're choosing it. 📣𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲. So if there is something that doesn't work for you, some part of the process that doesn't work, that doesn't give good results, then it's time to change it. And no, excel, it's not a process. It's uncomfortable to do badly. Change is uncomfortable too. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩. I know that sometimes uncertainty can be fatal and paralysing. But you are never alone. Better two heads thinking than one.🧠 And of course it takes time, but it's a new opportunity to get better results too. So you can always choose the HubSpot way to improve your business, professionalise your processes, guide your teams, and measure and improve. And you can always rely on us to accompany you in the process and advise you well. 🎄Don't be afraid, 2024 is coming to an end, it's the opportunity to start looking at 2025 with hope and new airs.🌟 #embraceHubSpot #CRM #changemanagement

My First 30 Days At HubSpot One month down at HubSpot, and it's been a whirlwind of learning and growth! Here are my top 3 takeaways so far: 1️⃣ Soak it all in, then swim! When joining a new company, it's easy to feel the urge to jump right into action and make an immediate big impact. But just like tackling Ikea furniture without properly reading the instructions (guilty!), rushing into action can lead to rework and frustration. This month, I've focused on actively absorbing information. I listened more than I spoke and asked questions – even the seemingly "silly" ones (My top silly question of the month: Asking someone to explain something to me like I am 6). This approach helped me build a strong foundation for future contributions and I will continue asking questions to ensure I understand things correctly and I am on the right track. 2️⃣ Decode the Company Lingo Having been at Google for 6+ years, I was fluent in the “Google-way” of almost everything. But here at HubSpot, some things are different! This month, I made a conscious effort to observe how things work. I learned the company lingo and tried to quickly adapt to it so people actually understood me (for example “I’ll ping you” became “I’ll slack you” and I promise I will try to say JAPAC instead of APAC!). While adapting to a new company I am still making sure to try to add my own spin to things and combine the best of both worlds. 3️⃣ The Newbie Network Advantage! Newbies often underestimate the power they hold! We come equipped with a unique superpower: the "newbie card." This month, I've actively leveraged this card to connect with as many people at HubSpot as possible. Think of it as a golden ticket to open doors, spark valuable conversations and a permission to ask a lot of questions - even the seemingly silly ones. The start of my journey at HubSpot has been incredible so far and I would like to thank everyone who has made it so special! Super excited to see what the future holds at HubSpot! 🧡 #HubSpotLife P.S. I'd love to hear your own "newbie learnings" in the comments below!

From PIP to Promotion in 4 Months: My Journey at HubSpot 🚀 Four months ago, I found myself on a "Performance Improvement Plan." Cue the sinking stomach and self-doubt. I thought, “Is this the end of my time at HubSpot?” Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. Today, I’m not only thriving at HubSpot, but I’ve also been promoted. Here’s how I turned things around and why HubSpot’s culture was key to my success. The Wake-Up Call 🛎️ A PIP isn’t a punishment—it’s a roadmap for improvement. While it stung, HubSpot saw potential, not failure. That mindset lit a fire under me. How I Did It 🔥 ✨ Mindset Shift I treated the PIP as a strategy session, breaking it into actionable steps and taking ownership. 📋 Clear Goals Using HubSpot’s tools like Tasks, I tracked progress and celebrated small wins. 💬 Team Support HubSpot’s collaborative culture helped me lean on my manager and colleagues for feedback. 📚 Continuous Learning HubSpot’s Learning Center filled my skill gaps. 🚀 Proactive Updates Weekly progress reports kept my manager aligned and engaged in my success. Why HubSpot Made It Possible 💡 Psychological Safety: My team encouraged questions and celebrated wins. Tools for Success: HubSpot’s CRM and automation tools helped me focus on growth. Growth-Oriented Leadership: My manager guided and celebrated my progress. The Promotion Moment 🎉 Four months later, I crushed my goals and earned a promotion, proving a PIP can be a pivot point, not a dead end. My Advice 📝 Stay calm: This isn’t the end—it’s a new beginning. Be proactive: Use every tool and resource available. Own your journey: Celebrate every small win. HubSpot gave me a second chance—and the tools to grow. Remember: even jazz legends hit the wrong notes sometimes. It’s how you recover that counts. What’s your comeback story? 💬 #CareerGrowth #HubSpotJourney #NeverGiveUp #PIPToPromotion #GrowthMindset #HubSpot #PIP #Promotion

You know what they say: if you've got a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Today, I'm going to revisit the topic of mindset. It is crucial for all of us professionals who use a tool extensively. HubSpot has various hubs, including marketing, sales, services, and (much) more. The time has come to stop viewing these hubs as separate entities. Instead, view them as tools in your toolkit that can be used for many different things. eg. marketing tools can be used for sales, and vice versa. ✅ Let me be clear: our thinking about our tools and how we interact with them changes how we live and work. If we keep seeing everything as a nail, we'll be very limited in our actions. Once we recognise that our hubs contain a multitude of tools for solving various problems, we will undoubtedly identify new opportunities and applications we hadn't considered before. It's time to make simple tweaks that will transform the way we work. It's all about opening our minds. 💚 Bringing a Superadmin into an organisation is a fascinating experience. That's what we talked about today in the HubSpot Superadmins Bootcamp. I'm thrilled because everyone is starting to ask more advanced questions, which means we're doing something right. Let me know about your experience with this mindset shift. #hubspotcrm #hubspotsuperadmins #hubspotacademy

Honestly, I didn't feel like going for a run today. It's one of those days where you just don't have the energy, and sometimes it feels like you just want to stay in bed. Normally, that's odd for me because running is something I love and do all the time, no matter where I am. Since I travel a lot, having a gym membership isn't as practical as running. Running has become a passion and a way to explore new places. Now that I'm writing this, I'm starting to remember how much I enjoy it, and I'm getting the urge to go out again. But this morning, I just wasn't feeling it. End-of-year times can be like that — everyone’s running low on energy, looking back over the year, and thinking about plans for the next one. That's the spirit in which I wanted to write this message. I believe next year will be fantastic because I always say the best is yet to come. This year was great too. Sure, there were lessons learned and moments to reflect on. The energy we bring to our reflections can make us see things in a more positive or negative light. One thing we offered many companies this year was an end-of-year audit, which kept us busy in December. It's not about focusing on the negatives but about planning improvements for 2025. Some companies weren't keen on doing the audit, just like I didn't feel like running today. But now there's renewed enthusiasm for making 2025 better. If you think an audit sounds like a good idea, it's too late for this year but maybe at the start of next year would be perfect for planning your year ahead. If you’ve never done one before, I highly recommend it. To all Professionals with HubSpot, I encourage you to think about how you're wrapping up your year with clients and consider helping them plan for the next one too. #hubspotcrm #hubspotsuperadmins

HubSpots global shut down. 🌅 In less than 4 weeks I get to enjoy our global week of rest. This is honestly the ultimate perk of being part of HubSpot. Imagine a whole week dedicated to fully unwinding, to focus on self-care and relaxation. Thats the reason HubSpot continue to offer this, originally introduced through COVID to emphasis the importance of mental health. This week is all about me and my family and Ill be filling my cup basking in the sun on the beach, enjoying delicious cocktails and appreciating the Balinese cultural delights. A far cry from the sub zero temps we spent last Week of Rest in. AND the best bit no playing catchup upon my return as the entire company is off! If your company doesnt provide such a wonderful opportunity, why not consider joining HubSpot? We believe in supporting our employees well being and ensuring they have time to truly unwind without the stress of catching up on emails or slack message when they return. Come and experience the HubSpot difference.

🌟 Embracing Change: My Journey Beyond HubSpot 🌟 It is with a mix of emotions that I share this update: I am officially an X-HubSpotter 🚀 HubSpot was my home for almost 6 years, filled with incredible colleagues, mentors, and countless memories. While I’ll miss the camaraderie, I’m also excited about what lies ahead 🌈 Here’s the scoop: • Severance & Coaching: HubSpot generously provided me with 3 months severance and top-notch executive coaching through June 🙌 • The Gift of Time: I’ve been given the precious gift of time—to explore my passions, recharge, and fill my cup ☕ So, how am I actually filling each day to celebrate this gift? • Bikram Yoga: Starting my days with this 90-min moving meditation in a sauna-like room set to 105°F, I feel my mind and body growing stronger each week. Repetition of the 26 poses has become my roadmap for self-assessment, calibration, and pursuit of ‘just 1% better than before’ 🧘♀️ • 9-Ball Adventures: I officially joined an APA league, and unlike traditional 8-ball, 9-ball is all about sinking balls sequentially. Winning isn’t as much about the object ball, as it is about controlling the cue to continuously set up for the next shot. As I upskill my banks and English, I can’t help but think the universe is a little loud with this metaphor… 🎱 • Hoffberg-live: This is where the magic happens. 🚀 I’ve immersed in a community of like-minded sales pros. We dive deep into mindset mastery, actionable habits, and fearless authenticity. As AI looms large, we’re preparing for a future where human connection matters more than ever 🤝 So, here’s to new beginnings, chasing that 1% and filling our cups with purpose & passion 🌟 Thank you, HubSpot, for the memories! The timeline of the layoff made it difficult to say goodbye, and there are just too many people to call out, but I want to give a special shout-out to people I’ve been thinking about over the past 6 weeks. Y’all make HubSpot such a great memory - Parnika Puri, Christopher Simmons, Anne Twombly, Nicole D'Argento, Cameron Bruns Ewing, Jaymie Gulino (Sullivan), Noor Habib EL-Farra, Hélène Nour Stengel, Lauren Noonan (she/her) Dan Love, Dan Tyre, Julia Lima, Allie Morin, Charlene Taylor, Frank Gonzalez, Jess Torres, Jessica Miller, Jacob Wright, Amber Spencer, Emma Spector, Emma Culver, Whitney Johnson, Brandon Camille, Christine McLaughlin, Derek Daffara, Viennie Chanthachack (he/him), Chrissy Damasco, Xavier Davis, Fiorella Cárdenas, Andrea Mendoza Fandiño, Laura De Castro L., Andrée Aloise, Natalie Drevets, Amelia Wright, Karim Zakaria, Anthony V. Acierno, MBA, Joseph Chau, Jared DiBella, Caroline Feeley, Juliette Bronoël, all of Team Cage and especially to all the 2023 BDRs who made last year unforgettable! Let’s connect—I’m ready for what’s next! 🌟 #NewBeginnings #SalesJourney #HubSpotAlumni #OpenToWork

Morning walk meditation thanks to "10x is easier than 2x"... All progress starts with telling the truth. If you are looking to #HubSpot to help with the growth you want or are already experiencing, you must tell the truth about your current state. In business tech terms, this is often very focused on your technology stack. What tools do we have? What platforms are causing us pain? What software is missing? In reality, people, processes, and technology go hand-in-hand to create data and experiences that lead to your team's victory or defeat. If you can't start by telling the truth in these 5 areas to yourself, your team, and any partner/tool you are asking for help, there will not be the progress you are looking for. HubSpot, by itself, cannot solve for a #sales leader that stubbornly insists on exporting data into sheets and slides for his "trusted" curation. HubSpot, by itself, cannot solve for #leadership's misunderstanding that #marketing success looks like a bunch of leads, sales PDFs, and a catalog website that "pops." HubSpot, by itself, cannot solve for your #culture that lacks transparency and accountability leading to 24/7 CYA mode for every team member that needs to control their version of the story. (By not putting info in the #CRM) If you are not willing to tell the truth about your current state, don't waste your time, effort, and money on HubSpot. If you are willing to start with the truth, no matter how good, bad, or ugly, HubSpot can and will help. Let it. #CustomerPlatform

Last year was my first time attending HubSpot’s INBOUND, and let me tell you, I was a little nervous going solo. 😬 Thankfully, my rep Destiny Baccino Story organized a happy hour the night before, and I got to meet some amazing HubSpot admins! One of them, Cori Hammoor, even saved the day when my flight home got canceled—I ended up crashing on her living room floor. Life’s funny like that. 🤣 INBOUND was packed with knowledge and fun. I was filling my notebook with insights during every session, having great convos with companies I use every day on the show floor, and—best of all—I got to meet HubSpot celebrity Kyle Jepson and watch my favorite comedian John Mulaney poke fun at “the most overly scheduled corporate conference” ever. 😂 Here are 3 things I wish I’d known before heading to INBOUND: 1. Keep your schedule handy and have a backup plan. Last year, the third floor hit capacity, and so many people couldn’t make it to their sessions. 2. Make friends! Compare schedules, meet up for lunch, and if things go south (like my flight), you might just find a couch to crash on! 🛋️ 3. Layer up! It’s freezing in the convention center but warm outside at the food trucks—dressing in layers is key. I can’t believe #INBOUND2024 is here already! While I won’t be attending in person this year, I’ll definitely be tuning into the virtual events to soak up as much as I can. Over the past year, I’ve gained so much more experience with HubSpot and now have the incredible opportunity to help others thrive on the platform. From onboarding new users to supporting existing ones, I love being part of this journey and watching others succeed. Have a blast, everyone! 🎉💻💡 #INBOUND24 #HubSpot

The Unspoken Benefits of HubSpot: Personal & Professional Growth As a consultant, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients thrive. But what truly excites me is witnessing individual growth alongside a company's success. Take, for example, Krystal Singh. Krystal joined us last week at the HubSpot for Beginners session and shared her journey with the group, from where she started with HubSpot a couple of years ago to where she is now. Krystal transitioned from knowing very little about HubSpot to now being an advanced user where she not just uses the platform effectively but also trains others, automates workflows, and saves the company significant time and resources by streamlining the process with HubSpot. I'm personally proud of her because I've been able to see this growth first-hand. While HubSpot has many really cool and amazing features that we can all get lost in, to me, the real takeaway is the impact it has on the company and the people. Once approached that right way, HubSpot can be more than just a marketing tool but, a springboard for personal and professional development. It empowers individuals to learn new skills, expand their knowledge, become experts in their space, take ownership, and contribute meaningfully to their company's success. That's a win-win in my book! Check out Krystal's response to my question on her development and listen for all the other things that she helps the company achieve. Are you a HubSpot user? If yes, what's been your experience with HubSpot? - Check the question and share your experience in the comments. #HubSpot #HubSpotPartner #opaatswy #lyndonbrathwaite

1moWhen you realise this. Put aside your resilience and revenue chasing. Don't try to fake it. Implementation is led by senior management as it's not just putting in new software. Its changing processes and ways of working will break down silos and can even redefine roles and shake things up in a business. Its not for the weak-hearted. It's for those who want to see value. Not protect their jobs and pretend all is fine in la la land. #nofilter #reality
