Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the economy keeps moving, but recruiters often hit pause. How do I know? Metrics. 📊 When I ran my firm with a team of 20+ recruiters, I saw the pattern every year. Commissions were built up, and recruiters would start slacking off—saying, “Call me after the new year.” 😴 But here’s the truth: when we measured everything—from marketing presentations to job orders, and recruit presentations to interviews—our ratios stayed the same, even during the slower months. Join me, Mike Gionta, for a 3-day challenge Tuesday 12/10 to Thursday 12/12 from 12-3 pm EST, where I’ll show you how to keep your momentum going, no matter the season. 👉 Secure Your Spot Today: https://lnkd.in/eHyV4bhj Let’s make 2025 the year you power through any slowdown and hit your goals, no matter what!

Anyone else feel like this week flew by and stood still at the same time? Thanksgiving leftovers are almost gone, inboxes are quiet, and it feels like the whole industry is just catching its breath. But here’s the reality: The next few weeks are crunch time. Year-end budgets, operational reviews, and planning for 2025 are about to hit full force. Here’s my challenge for you today: Take just one hour to map out your top priorities for December. What’s the one thing you can finish strong on that sets you up for success next year? For me, it’s new hire strategy - with our 2024 growth and 2025 pipeline I need to set the company up for success. Interview, interviews, interviews - trying to find the right candidates to build out the perfect customer success team is not an easy task. What’s yours? Let’s hold each other accountable.

I'm curious to find out what people think here: Where do you see more value for your business - from a vague job post on a job board website; or from a recruiter finding qualified candidates and explaining how good of an opportunity this will be for them right from the start?

📊 Poll Results Are In! 📊 These results show something different from the typical percentages we're used to being told! I added the traditional stats again below. Why do you think my poll came out so differently from the "standard" numbers? Drop your thoughts below! 💭⬇️ "The most commonly cited stat is that around 85% of jobs are filled through networking. Beyond that, recruiters are thought to fill 10-15% of positions, especially in specialized roles, while direct applications make up the final 5-10%."

One of the most terrifying stats I’ve heard this year: a recruiting agency said their current searches are requiring 300-400 profiles to get to a hire - largely driven by a huge mismatch between talent and company expectations. Recruiters have an opportunity to influence this horror show of a job market by doing what they do best: listening. They spend their days gathering information. They’re talking directly to your target audience. They hear about the cultures and benefits that people are looking for, the rewards they want to see, and how (and where) they want to work. They also see exactly where the process with your team breaks down and why you can’t get the right people in the door. Partnering effectively with your recruiting team to use set achievable, realistic hiring goals influenced by those market insights will make the difference between a job req that haunts you into 2025… and getting a great hire in the door before you can say BOO! 👻
