❄️ Snow has arrived in the UK – is your workplace ready? ❄️ Colder temperatures can have a significant impact on employees, especially those working outdoors or in environments with inadequate heating. Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure that working conditions are safe and reasonable – even when the weather turns icy. 🌨️ At TSE Solutions - Health & Safety Services, we’re here to help employers navigate these challenges. The HSE guidance on temperature outlines some key considerations: 🔹 Provide adequate heating or shelter for staff exposed to the cold. 🔹 Supply appropriate PPE for outdoor workers, such as thermal gloves and waterproof clothing. 🔹 Encourage regular breaks to warm up and promote hydration (cold weather can still dehydrate!). 🔹 Communicate proactively with your team – letting them know what steps are being taken to prioritise their comfort and safety. Remember, a warm and supported workforce is a productive one! 💡 For more tips on managing workplace temperature and keeping your team safe this winter, check out the full HSE guidance here - https://lnkd.in/eQpxcqwh If you’re looking for tailored advice to keep your workplace compliant, contact TSE Solutions today – we’re here to support your business, rain or snow! ☃️ #HealthAndSafety #ColdWeatherWorkplace #EmployeeWellbeing #TSEHealthAndSafety
