The new rules apply to most indoor workplaces, such as restaurants, warehouses and manufacturing facilities, and require employers to provide water, rest, cool-down areas and training when temperatures exceed the threshold. The standard requires employers who have indoor worksites with higher temperatures to take immediate steps to ensure they are in compliance with the new rules. Involve your workers when developing your workplace health and safety plan. As they are typically more involved with day to day operations, they may know and/or see things you weren’t aware of. If you include your employees in this process it shows they are valued and are more likely to accept the plan. Share in the comments how you involve your workers when it comes to workplace health and safety. #sooleyssafetyservices #preventnotreact #safetyprogram
