Flaring is wrong in every conceivable way except for the company flaring. Flaring is wrong. The Marcellus should yell this from the mountaintop. Marcellus gas is one of the greenest energy sources on the planet. Texas with flaring, methane releases from drilling/completion operations and billions of bbls of produced water down disposal wells causing earthquakes isn’t. Europe, don’t buy Texas nat gas. Buy RRC/EQT produced nat gas. But not Texas. India, buy a green energy source. Demand Marcellus gas. PA produced, Marcellus gas. https://lnkd.in/eBH6mYTc

The US gas industry is in a state of abundance, with producers now considering the closure of wells that were only recently drilled. As one expert put it, the US is "swimming in gas". This abundance of supply is a result of the country's recent surge in gas production, which has led to an oversupply. #USGasIndustry #GasProduction #EnergyIndustry #Oversupply #LowerPrices #IndustryAdaptation

The United States has accounted for about 30% of the world's total gas production, and Texas (32.5%) and Louisiana (18.3%) together account for more than half of all natural gas produced in the United States through 2021. New laws charge large oil and gas companies for excessive methane emissions, starting at $900 per metric ton this year, and increasing to $1,200 next year and $1,500 thereafter. Innovative technologies like Macaw Energies’ F2X are available to mitigate flare and methane emissions. We look forward to increased scrutiny and accountability to foster a more responsible and sustainable approach to oil and gas production.

Wood Mackenzie's NatGas Real-Time (RT) has just alerted me that first #gas is finally flowing on the long awaited Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP). 0.3 bcfd is being delivered into the Cherrystone interconnect with Transco pipeline and flowing southbound. Minor volumes are also being delivered into Roanoke Gas. How much will gas flows ramp up to? Will producers grow into the new takeaway capacity? What are the regional basis implications? Ask Woodmac's North America gas market experts (www.woodmac.com).
