📢 Last week, the Council of the European Union has officially adopted the Listing Act !   🆕 This legislation marks a crucial step towards simplifying the regulatory framework for companies seeking to list, while encouraging greater retail participation in IPOs and follow-on offerings across Europe.   At Euronext, we are committed to helping companies access the capital they need to grow, innovate, and scale. The Listing Act will reduce administrative burdens and provide more flexibility for businesses, fostering greater participation in European capital markets ! Total trade between the UK and Ireland reached nearly £90 billion in the year ending March 2024 and Ireland is the UK’s 5th largest trading partner (2nd for services). It was wonderful to host UK Trade Commissioner for Europe Chris Barton CMG last week - to stress the importance of the UK-Ireland trade and investment relationship and to connect with key people to explore where we can deepen our economic cooperation and build on our partnerships. There are great opportunities for UK-Ireland collaboration in areas identified in the UK's Industrial Strategy as high potential growth sectors, including clean energy, life sciences, and tech.
