While good data governance practices are key, there must be a better way to solve this common - if not universal - challenge in health care, if only by offloading some of the administrative responsibilities that require the individual management and administration of no-value-add administrative functions. #healthdata

Many companies are unwilling to accept that data and IT costs are a regular and necessary expenditure. It’s largely seen as a cost center with no revenue to counterbalance. I’d argue the reduction in admin waste by maintaining and leveraging technology appropriately should be quantified and counted as a soft revenue contribution. Tech debt = increased admin waste, increased security risk, and increased client burden.
