Last week was a truly memorable moment for our team as the new generation of EPF had the honour of interviewing Tan Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed, the very first Executive Chairman of EPF. It’s not every day that you get to connect with a leader who laid the foundation of this vital institution. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from his invaluable insights and experiences. His wisdom, passion, and enduring dedication to serving our members continue to inspire us. Wishing him continued health and happiness as we carry forward his remarkable legacy. A special thank you to Dato’ Nash for making it possible for us to interview his father, a distinguished leader. It was wonderful to reconnect after my time at Khazanah Nasional.

The recent announcements by EPF Malaysia were welcome by some and not by others....hhhmmmmm Some question the implication about the announcement. Although the EPF's website highlights the changes clearly. We were privileged to had our EPF Officers Yusaini Ahmad, Sumartini Kamaruzaman and team over for knowledge sharing session. 💠 The new account 3(Account Flexible) was a hot topic.... 🔥 🔥🔥 💠 Did you know you can get your kids 14 years old and above registered with EPF? 🤔 Something to ponder on ‼ ~ 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘. #hrms #KWSP #EPF #PersonalGrowth #ilovehr #WomenInLeadership #hrdepartment #IndustrySpeaker #hrcommunity #FutureLeaders #CareerDevelopment #alumniunitenassociation #uaatechnicalcommittee #uniten UNITEN Alumni Association (UAA) #KITAUNITEN #unitenkshas #hrcommunity #freshgraduates #jobs #unirazak ❤️

This was really an enjoyable event. Great video. Some of the key takeaways were Scenarios on AI and HR. In this role playing session we used the Change Progression scenario method (Milojevic and Inayatullah). 1 The no change group had the head of HR there and he made a passionate response that fairness is key. Given AI's biases, humans need to lead and do 2. The marginal change group suggested that while fairness is first, AI can enhance efficiencies both for those in the system and for those applying to join ie get jobs 3. The adaptive change saw AI and not just increasing fairness and efficiency but at creating innovation in unexpected ways - but mostly in allowing HR to focus less on the nuts and bolts of processing/recruitment and training and more on wellbeing. 4. The radical change group imagined a future where 90% of current jobs would be replaced by AI systems with humans in charge of design and ensuring systems were equitable. But most important for me was the work on inner futures - while governments and organizations attempt to adapt to a world which increasingly feels unsafe - our own stories will be decisive. One leader suggested that his/her current approach of trying to it all felt like an octopus, doing too much with efficacy on the downward spiral. Becoming more like a pod of dolphins riding different waves felt better ie support, life in stages, smooth flowing instead of the daily ups and downs and a deep calm with joy. Another suggested the need to shift from the world of Alice in Wonderland (surrounded by confusion) to Sinbad (floating while surrounded by confusion). All in all a powerful session linking scenarios with CLA of the self.

Inspiring the Next Generation: Reflections on My ViMP Journey I recall one of my former MDs once said I had the makings of a great academic or preacher. That sentiment truly resonated with me last Friday during my brief session with the Junior Achievement Nigeria #ViMP2024 participants at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University. It was a refreshing experience connecting with these brilliant individuals as I shared insights from my own journey, being a ten-year alumni of the same program. I couldn’t resist sharing a few relationship-building hacks something I’ve found to be a game-changer throughout my career. What fascinated me most was listening to their group presentations on tackling the issues of out-of-school children and addressing GMOs. These young graduates delivered innovative ideas and well-structured pitches, despite the limited preparation time, giving me a renewed sense of hope for Nigeria’s future. As a judge, I also gained deeper insights into these crucial topics. A huge thanks to the JAN team, Ugonna Victor Achebe Tobiloba Olaosun - ANIPR for the invitation, LBS faculty lead Dr Henrietta Onwuegbuzie and the partners GBfoods Verraki Africa for keeping this program alive for 25 years. For some of us, ViMP has been the cornerstone of our career paradigm shift. PS: With all the positive feedback I’ve received and my enduring passion for knowledge-sharing, I’m seriously considering a return to the classroom, and perhaps, writing more.
