The recent announcements by EPF Malaysia were welcome by some and not by others....hhhmmmmm Some question the implication about the announcement. Although the EPF's website highlights the changes clearly. We were privileged to had our EPF Officers Yusaini Ahmad, Sumartini Kamaruzaman and team over for knowledge sharing session. 💠 The new account 3(Account Flexible) was a hot topic.... 🔥 🔥🔥 💠 Did you know you can get your kids 14 years old and above registered with EPF? 🤔 Something to ponder on ‼ ~ 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘. #hrms #KWSP #EPF #PersonalGrowth #ilovehr #WomenInLeadership #hrdepartment #IndustrySpeaker #hrcommunity #FutureLeaders #CareerDevelopment #alumniunitenassociation #uaatechnicalcommittee #uniten UNITEN Alumni Association (UAA) #KITAUNITEN #unitenkshas #hrcommunity #freshgraduates #jobs #unirazak ❤️

#ICYMI: The SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme announced in #SGBudget2024 supports mid-career workers in learning and skills training. 📖✅ Second Minister for Finance Hong Tat Chee shares more in this video below!
At Budget 2024, DPM Lawrence Wong introduced a new SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme to better support our mid-career workers. First, all Singaporeans aged 40 and above will receive a $4,000 SkillsFuture Credit top-up. This can be used for selected training programmes with better employability outcomes. Second, to provide more reskilling options, all Singaporeans aged 40 and above will now be able to pursue another full-time diploma at our Polytechnics, ITE, and Arts Institutions from Academic Year 2025 onward at subsidised rates. Third, a monthly training allowance will be provided for Singaporeans aged 40 and above who enrol in selected full-time courses. These are significant enhancements to our SkillsFuture ecosystem. We will reap the full benefits only if all of us – government, employers, workers and unions – do our part to foster a new culture of lifelong learning and skills mastery. - Hong Tat #ConnectWithCHT

This unique programme is being offered free of charge as part of our IEP Member benefits package through the Corporate Affiliate Partnership. The Australian version of Employability Essentials has been carefully revised and adapted to the requirements of the Australian Employability Sector and features a final module ‘Working with First Nations peoples’. In the series of information on EPF, the following update is also useful to know the tentative reasons for withdrawal. Understanding Withdrawal Criteria: 1. Building or Buying a Home: One of the significant milestones in an individual's life is owning a home. EPFO allows account holders to withdraw up to 90 percent of their accumulated PF corpus for constructing or purchasing a new house, provided they have completed a minimum of five years in employment. 2. Medical Emergencies: Health emergencies can often strain finances. EPFO permits withdrawals for medical emergencies, allowing individuals to withdraw up to six times their monthly salary from their PF account. 3. Marriage Expenses: Planning a wedding involves considerable financial commitment. EPFO allows account holders to withdraw 50 percent of their contribution and accumulated interest to meet marriage-related expenses. 4. Unemployment: In the unfortunate event of unemployment, individuals can tap into their PF savings to tide over the financial challenges. If unemployed for more than a month, one can withdraw up to 75 percent of their PF funds. For prolonged unemployment exceeding two months, the remaining balance can also be withdrawn. 5. Retirement: Upon reaching the age of 58, an individual becomes eligible to withdraw their entire PF corpus. EPFO permits account holders to withdraw up to 90 percent of the funds in a single transaction. Tax Implications: Withdrawals from PF accounts before completing five years of continuous service attract taxation. However, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) is not applicable on withdrawals below Rs 50,000, providing some relief to account holders. The EPFO's guidelines regarding PF withdrawals aim to strike a balance between providing financial assistance during emergencies and ensuring long-term financial security. While the option to withdraw funds exists, it's essential to evaluate the necessity carefully, considering the long-term implications on retirement savings. By understanding the withdrawal criteria outlined by EPFO, individuals can make informed decisions regarding their PF accounts, leveraging them effectively to navigate life's financial challenges.
