I recently attended a LinkedIn workshop and found it fascinating to explore and develop this social media and news platform. I work in the wine industry and have noticed very little effort from wineries and businesses in utilizing this platform for a number of years. I often feel puzzled about the lack of discussions surrounding business aspects, strategies, marketing, and decision-making in the industry. (which is extremely crowded) Each winery is a business and, as such, has to make decisions to grow or, at the very least, sustain itself. Even in winemaking. I'm starting to get annoyed when winemakers and marketers spin the tale of 'I don't do much in the cellar.' Are you making vinegar? Saturday rumbles: 01 #LinkedIn #wineries #business #wineindustry

💡 Need ideas for engaging your wine club members? Here are 5 easy ways to get them (and keep them) subscribed: Just about every winery is offering a wine club membership program - making it harder than ever to stand out. The key is to be engaged and ensure you offer the feeling of exclusivity. 1️⃣ Send Personalised Emails. Craft emails that speak directly to your wine club members, using their names and personal preferences to cut through the generic emails they receive daily. 2️⃣ Offer Exclusive Events. Host events that are only open to your wine club members, such as private tastings or vineyard tours. Make them truly see the value in their membership. 3️⃣ Provide Members-Only Discounts. Offer special discounts and promotions to your members as a thank-you for their loyalty. 4️⃣ Share Behind-the-Scenes Content. Give your members a sneak peek into the winemaking process with exclusive videos and photos. It's another level of exclusivity customers really want. 5️⃣ Create a Referral Program. Encourage your members to refer friends and family by offering them rewards for each new member they bring in. It's a win-win-win! Wine clubs and the creation of 'exclusiveness' are on the rise. Are you joining in on the trend? #winenews #wineindustry #wineries #wineclub #wineindustrynews #winemarketing

When wineries aren't sure how much it really costs to make their wine, it can mess things up in a bunch of ways. First off, pricing your wine becomes a real puzzle. You might end up charging too little and missing out on cash, or you could ask for too much and scare away buyers. Not having a clear picture of costs also makes it hard to see how much profit you’re really making on each bottle. This could affect decisions about where to invest money, how to grow, and even how to handle your supplies. Plus, it puts you behind other wineries that have a better handle on their costs and can offer better deals. It's like trying to steer a ship without a compass—it's tough to stay on course and make smart moves when you don't know where you're headed. So, knowing the true cost of making wine isn't just about keeping track of money; it's about making sure you winery can stay competitive, grow, and thrive in the long run.
