Dear Companies, No one cares that your CEO is going on a 4 week winter holiday. If they aren’t free to interview, don’t include them in the process. Candidates deserve better. Sincerely, Everyone Interviewing This Month!

Had a bitter CEO interview the past week 😅 to the minimum the CEO should be aware or prepared of whom he is talking to. In my case , a total bluff went this meeting for which I had to travel five hours and the company culture, they never got back to me while before exiting the building I had decided not to join them anyways.

Also, if your CEO can just take off for an entire month, the company is clearly in very good shape financially. Pay your team accordingly.

100%. Never for the life of me understood why someone crucial to the hiring process is scheduled to leave smack in the middle of interviews. It’s almost as if they didn’t know they would be hiring during that time…

I’ve seen multiple TA pros saying (Even before Thanksgiving) they’re essentially closing shop until 2025. I’m grateful they’re narrowing the search for jobseekers with that red flag. The play doesn’t stop until the whistle goes!

Looks like the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. This seeming disorganization will likely scare some people away

Also, while it seems cool and down to Earth, is it really necessary for positions that won’t actually be working with the CEO? Even in smaller companies. Can they be part of an internal hiring panel etc? Sure, but is it really worth everyone’s time? Let’s just be honest about why we’re doing it and if that really helps…

It's crucial for organizations to recognize that the hiring process is a reflection of their values and commitment to candidates. When leadership is unavailable, it can create unnecessary hurdles for potential hires, ultimately affecting the company's reputation. As we navigate the complexities of talent acquisition, let’s prioritize transparency and accessibility. After all, a seamless interview experience not only attracts top talent but also fosters a culture of respect and empowerment. How are you ensuring your hiring processes reflect your organizational values? Let's discuss!
