I am always surprised by the amounts businesses pay for marketing and advertising... and sponsorship or advertising with a football club has never been a consideration! Even a club like ours, we can deliver an audience in the millions for what is on paper a very small investment! Sport is often either not thought about when choosing a method or too expensive, as it is only the the "big" clubs who can deliver the audience required! We have a video on TikTok which gained over 3million views! #devonbusiness #exeter #exeterbusiness #northdevon #business #football #entertainment #hospitality #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmedia #branding #advertisingandmarketing

There’s a misconception that it’s expensive. Although a lot of clubs only have themselves to blame. They don’t engage with potential new sponsors and dismiss new ideas to bring in revenue. They also hide pricing and make it difficult to speak to people in commercial depts. Go on any football clubs website now I would hazard a guess less than 5% have commercial promoted on their homepage. You have to go looking for it and it puts people off.

I think in fairness, Exeter City as a club is so different to other football clubs. The fact it's more like a rugby club with their friendly approach, making everyone feel rather special and being treated like VIP's. We have been match sponsors and ball sponsors and my guest have always come away buzzing about their experiences. On the cost side, you get great exposure on LED boards, match announcements and a page in the programme. Great value for any company. Honestly, you won't be disappointed.
