#TBT Here's a photo of our leaders ready to celebrate the ultimate winners of the Australian Training Awards! The highlight of the training sector's calendar took place in Canberra last Friday, bringing together all the winners from the state awards. It was a pleasure to reconnect with them at the national event and applaud their incredible achievements once again. Hearing the inspiring stories of apprentices, trainees, employers and the amazing individuals who make this sector thrive is always a privilege. "Congratulations to all who were nominated and those who took home the wins, I have no doubt you will all go on to promote our fantastic VET system and support future apprentices and trainees across Australia," said Kara Prichard, our State Manager from South Australia. This was the perfect way to wrap up the 2024 award season. #Awards #VET #Apprenticeships #Employement #Training #Education #VibrantFutures #MasNational #IntoWorkGroup

It was great to contribute to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations Strategic Review of the Australian Apprenticeship Incentive System yesterday at the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry office. I provided my insight as a woman in trade, previous apprentice, and on behalf of my employer Kinetic, who currently employs over forty apprentices nationally – a number that is growing. There was consensus in the room regarding many of the obstacles and challenges faced by industries, and the need for targeted solutions to combat the current skill shortage. There are many organisations taking the lead on creating these solutions. Understanding where policy and incentives can leverage or support these organisations and efforts is critical to creating the desired outcome we all work towards - more people entering and succeeding within VET and trade pathways. Through my role at Kinetic, we are developing a national apprentice program to set up our apprentices for success within their apprenticeship, the industry, and their long-term careers. But this alone is not enough to combat the skill shortage. We need to collaborate across businesses and industries to improve the current landscape for all people. If you’d like to contribute your insight and experience to this important review, please check out more information about the Terms of Reference and submission process here: https://lnkd.in/gEvsHcrr Reviewers: Justice Iain Ross AO & Lisa Paul AO PSM #australianapprentices #apprentices #apprenticeship #traineeship #apprenticeincentives #apprenticeprogram #futureworkforce #skillshortage #vetpathways #womenintrade #tradepathways #australianapprenticeincentivesystem

Promoting the Recruitment Executive Degree Programme with National College of Ireland and highlighting the available SOLAS (An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna) grant for employers is a great initiative to attract potential apprentices. Additionally, suggesting upskilling opportunities for current employees not only enhances the skills and knowledge of your workforce but also fosters loyalty and retention. Having 42 employers already participating in the ERF/NCI Apprenticeship speaks volumes about the programme’s effectiveness and credibility. Sharing testimonials or success stories from these employers can further encourage others to join the initiative. Check out some of these below. #generationapprentice #recruitment #apprenticeship Janice O'Rourke (Assoc CIPD) Geraldine King Siobhan M Kinsella MBA Anna Douglas Lorraine Mooney

A recent cohort of apprentices moved into End Point Assessment – which is our largest grouping, to date. I am extremely pleased to announce that the results are out. There are 10 x apprentices who have received a ‘distinction’. This is a superb outcome. Further to this – there are 27 x apprentices who have ‘passed’ (and 8 x of these apprentices received ‘distinction’ in elements of their results). Again – excellent news and well done to all involved. This is a great end to the week and I hope to be able to share more positive news when the next set of results are due. #counterfraud #apprentice #apprenticeships #success #pass #distinction #results #investigation #GCFP #Iwillnotgetboredofpostingtheseupdates

National Network ? Will that consist of colleges and independant training providers ?
£100 million plan to build skills, not just homes “We’re not just training apprentices, we’re shaping the future of UK house building. With 25 years as an officer in the Royal Engineers, I’m driven by navigating challenges and improving quality.” The NHBC has announced a £100 million investment in 12 multi-skills training hubs aimed at producing 3,000 site-ready tradespeople annually, ready to contribute to the Government’s ambitious target of 1.5 million new homes in the next five years. This was a great day with our apprentices! Checking in with them on a one-to-one basis is really important to us as a team - it’s not just about understanding how each apprentice is progressing, but also how they are feeling. #Apprenticeship #Apprentice #Wellbeing #Progress #TeamIACSTandE #TeamIACS
This week’s catch-up with our apprentices looked a little different for #TeamIACSTandE. James Baker, Grace, Laura Hewitt and Rachael Burns headed to Hatton, where they met with our second cohort of apprentices who are all getting vital work experience on a live site. It was a great opportunity to see our apprentices, mentors and partners in action. You could say we got to experience a day in the life of our apprentices, while also testing out our PPE! #PPE #Apprenticeship #Pipelines #PipelineInspection

Had the pleasure to attend & contribute to the European Alliance for Apprenticeships High Level Annual Event in Brussels - & how (#EAfA) was this different from other events in the city? 🇪🇺 Admittedly I have come to realize the true strength of #apprenticeships for our lives and peers 💯 Apprentices are occasions especially for #youth to firstly learn how to become #professionals, arguably enjoying the very first economic stability of their lives 📍 Remunerated to be learning in the #workplace, an experience which can make the difference for many people interested in a #newcareer 🌿 Then, it is hard to explain how out of little above 3 Million apprentices in Europe, almost 70% of them are enrolled in Germany through the #DualVET system? And a country as populated as Italy counts slightly more than 10 000 apprentices as of 2017 (Cedefop data) 🇮🇹 It is for this reason that events such as the Annual EAfA conference enable us to learn and improve through the amazing experience and work carried out across Europe. And beyond ✈️ Thanks to Béatrice Bellet for sharing her amazing experience and the four years of work on the SAAM Mobility project. Coming back from Morocco just yesterday, it has been a very inspiring session on how barriers are simply there to be taken down 🙌 Thanks for the opportunity of moderating the insightful session on apprenticeships' #mobilities, as I believe that quality international partnership can only bring you towards one destination: the future. 🔜 European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), Mundus, AFPA with Sotiria Tsalamani #vocationaltraining #apprendistato #fp #formazioneprofessionale #workbasedlearning

We hold a strong commitment to supporting our apprentices. Apleona CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg FRICS and COO Michael Engel really enjoyed their visit to the apprentices' training shop in April. This year alone, Apleona is training over 500 apprentices in more than 20 different professions. Well trained professionals are essential for Apleona's continued #growth and #success. Training our own young people is therefore an important building block in countering the shortage of skilled workers. We are therefore delighted that so many motivated young people have chosen apprenticeships at Apleona. There are good reasons to train in FM at Apleona: A technical profession in the FM sector is a relatively crisis-proof job. Even when the economy isn't doing so well, the assets in buildings always need to be maintained and repaired. On top of that, our technicians are work every day to improve the environmental performance of the buildings they manage. This is an argument that is winning over more and more young people. Trainees at Apleona are given clear personal development prospects and potential career opportunities during their apprenticeship. And we can offer very varied and interesting tasks in the portfolios we manage. Many thanks to our dedicated trainers and to Claudia Konstas who guide many of our trainees to very good qualifications and contribute to Apleona's success! #ApleonaApprentices #SupportingApprentices #ApleonaSuccess #ApleonaDevelopment
