Similarly, sales professionals can no longer rely on outdated tactics like showing up and presenting a standard pitch. The future belongs to those who can adeptly integrate various tools and strategies; in 2024, no single tool or tactic will suffice on its own. Here’s a simple example from my recent experience with a popular SaaS tool that illustrates the new era of sales: 1. I visited their website and shortly received an email, likely triggered by an RB2B integration, checking what I was looking for. 2. The email headers revealed the use of an Email Automation Software, indicating API automation. 3. Upon replying about my intent, I received an immediate response, presumably from an AI agent. 4. Before our call, they likely used Clay to analyze my LinkedIn data, ensuring familiarity with my background. 5. An AI crafted a personalized intro message and sent a LinkedIn request via Expandi.io. 6. A pre-call email confirmed the meeting details and provided relevant information. 7. The call itself bypassed unnecessary pitches as they were already informed about my interests through LinkedIn. 8. Post-call, I received a Docusign contract followed by two nuanced follow-ups, which led me to sign the contract. This process, fully automated yet personalized, resulted in a significant multi-five-figure deal. This approach emphasizes that in the modern sales landscape, speed and efficiency are crucial.
