Filling the Void 📢 Understanding customers' perceptions is critical to business success. You may have an amazing positioning statement, but if the customer isn't aligned, it's worthless. During a recent brand review I led, a void was revealed. 🔦 Customers didn't really know us, and if they did, it was the wrong things. 🔦 The void was limiting growth; myths were circulating and filling it. 💡 I now knew the first problem we had to solve. 📢 It's important to know what your customer thinks. 💡 Only then can you understand what needs to change. Our campaign focused on brand awareness. 🎯 An updated and re-energized brand was the goal. ✅ The brand became relevant, consistent, and compelling. ✅ Brand awareness doubled in year 1. ✅ Myths were overshadowed by new brand messaging. ❓ Do you know what your customers think? ❓ Do you have a brand void? ❓ Is it being filled with assumption & misconception?

It’s not just about what you sell anymore. It’s about who you are. 👉🏼 Consumers are getting more selective these days, and it’s no longer enough to have a good product. People are looking for brands that align with their values—and guess what? They can tell if you're genuine about it. So, how do you make sure you’re connecting on that level? 1/ Be crystal clear about what you stand for. Not just in your marketing, but in every aspect of your business. Consistency builds trust. 2/ Show up where it matters. Whether it’s sustainability, diversity, or transparency—walk the talk. Don’t just say you care, prove it. 3/ Engage in real conversations. Absolutely Simon Gould ✪ CEO ✪ Sydney Digital Marketing Agency ✪ has the correct vision! Long-term brand thinking is crucial for sustained success and resilience in today's dynamic marketplace. Focusing solely on short-term gains can lead to missed opportunities and hinder a brand's ability to build a lasting legacy. By prioritizing long-term strategies, brands can establish meaningful connections with their audience, driving loyalty and advocacy that extends far beyond immediate transactions. When complemented with organic brand awareness strategy like we do, which emphasizes authentic engagement and relationship-building, brands can solidify their position as trusted authorities in their respective industries. This synergy between long-term brand strategy and organic brand awareness fosters a holistic approach to brand building, ensuring consistent growth and relevance amidst evolving consumer preferences and market trends. #organicbrandawareness Galileo Tech Media

Long term brand thinking. Are you doing it? If not, it's probably time to start. Focusing solely on short-term gains, marketers risk losing sight of brand legacy and long-term impact. True brand resilience lies in forging relationships and learning from past missteps, aiming for a legacy that transcends temporary achievements. By adopting a long-term outlook, brands can ensure relevance and meaningful engagement in an ever-changing world. To embrace long-term brand thinking try these: 👉Vision Development: Define a clear, forward-looking vision that aligns with broader societal values and future trends. 👉Relationship Building: Cultivate lasting relationships with your audience through consistent engagement and by delivering value beyond transactions. 👉Learning from Feedback: Regularly gather and act on customer feedback to improve products/services and customer experiences. 👉 Innovation Encouragement: Foster a culture of innovation that anticipates future needs and adapts to changing market dynamics. #brandbuilding #longtermvision #strategicmarketing #digitalmarketing #customerrelationships

“If our goal is to help people make better choices, it helps to first create better feelings.” Seth Godin He also said: “We like to think we make complicated decisions based on rational analysis, but most of the time, we actually make an emotional decision and then invent a rational analysis to justify it.” Back in the day, when I worked in the corporate world, we called this “post purchase rationalisation” I like this question from Seth Godin too: “Which comes first? The feelings, the facts, or the story we tell ourselves that leads to the feelings?” The Storybrand framework for brand messaging also focuses on the importance of feelings in making buying choices, as Donald Miller says: “Companies tend to sell solutions to external problems, but people buy solutions to internal problems” And I agree. This is why a great question to ask your brand is “how does my service / product / experience make my clients feel?” I find it useful to consider the benefits of buying from your brand from 3 angles: 🌻Emotional – how does this result make me feel? 🌻Expressive – what does this say about who I am and how I appear to others? 🌻Functional – how does this make my life easier or better? Which all add up to the transformation your brand achieves for your clients. Breakthrough brand thinking 😊 As Seth Godin says “Feelings first, then they create a story. Facts come in third.” How does this work for your business? #brandthinking #brandbenefits #transformation

Crafting a brand promise is akin to defining a commitment to your customers—an assurance of the value they can expect from your products or services. It encapsulates the essence of what your brand stands for and what makes it unique in the marketplace. Imagine it as a guiding principle that shapes how your business interacts with its audience, from the products you offer to how you communicate with customers. Think of a brand promise as the foundation for your brand identity. It's not just a slogan or a tagline; it's a concise statement that encapsulates your business's core values, purpose, and distinctive offerings. It sets you apart from competitors and resonates with your target audience deeply. Crafting a compelling brand promise involves: · Understanding your organisation's core values. · Identifying what makes your business unique. · Ensuring that your promise is clear, memorable, and customer-centric. It's about consistently delivering on that promise, both in terms of the products or services you provide and the overall experience you offer to your customers. A brand promise is a powerful tool for building trust, loyalty, and credibility with your audience. It guides your decision-making processes, shapes customer interactions, and is a beacon that attracts like-minded individuals to your brand. By embracing the concept of a brand promise, you can differentiate your business in a crowded marketplace and forge meaningful connections with your audience. "What's the origin story of your company?" 🧐 "How did this all start?" 🧐 "Who realized there was a problem to be solved?" 🧐 "Is that person still here?" These are some of the first questions I ask when speaking with prospects and partners about their brand. You don't 🔥 need 🔥 a go-getter, rule-breaker, category-thwarter story (or person) to build a good brand. But it helps. Why? Because people are curious. They're looking for the human. It's why How I Built This with Guy Raz is so compelling. And it's why understanding, and leveraging, your leader-led brand story can be so effective. It's not the only way to drive your #brandnarrative forward, but in today's AI-everything era, getting to the human who created the thing that solves the problem can make all the difference when driving brand loyalty. Because the human who created the thing usually did so because they had the same problem as their customer - and they wanted to fix it better. Connecting these dots builds resonance. Empathy sells. Which brand leader does this particularly well? Who's living their brand best? 👇👇 I'd love to see some new meaningful examples.👇👇

If your brand isn’t thriving despite your hard work, talent, and dedication, it’s time to take it personally. It’s not just about putting in the hours or ticking off tasks—successful branding often demands a deeper connection to the purpose and a willingness to adapt relentlessly. Taking it personally means you’re ready to look at what truly differentiates your brand and re-evaluate what’s resonating (or not) with your audience. It’s about owning every element, from customer experience to feedback, and finding ways to refine your approach until it aligns seamlessly with your vision. Push beyond the comfort zone and ask tough questions: What’s missing? What could we do differently? How can we go further to create a brand that not only stands out but also stands for something meaningful? Taking it personally isn’t a setback—it’s the mindset shift that can turn your brand’s potential into reality. #TakeItPersonally #BrandMindset #GrowthMindset #BrandSuccess #LevelUp
