I definitely wouldn't mind starting a CPG brand again but only as a co-founder/ partner. This industry is not really setup for many brands who don't have the ability to raise capital unfortunately. Even with a 4.6/5 star product I had trouble. So, I wouldn't want to put my capital at risk again like that. Once Kickstarter denied my campaign for no reason back in late 2022 I realized this was going to be a tough venture. There are some barriers that I hope will be broken in the coming years but we'll see on that. Maybe I could of done things differently like not put my face on the cover this seemed to turn people off. Definitely a ton of lessons learned but unless I'm a co-founder/ partner I have no interests in jumping back in. #LinkedIn #community #network #business #consulting #sales #blackownedbusiness #cpg #personaldevelopment #strategy #experience #advertising #businessplanning #investor #capital #fundraising #mindset #planning #Baltimore
I have the same issue with funding and am turning down business simply because I can't front it :(
Would you want to do distribution? 👀
You move forward, hopefully something good will happen this time 🙂🙂🙂
America used to be the easiest place to grow a business. now it's not, unfortunately. You have no choice but to hang in there, you've come so far.
No longer the land of opportunity, unless you're in tech.

6moNot sure I understand the nature of this post, it sounds a bit like you are reflecting on a failure, but you are a hard fought success, no?
