BIG Google Ads Update: Enhanced CPC is gone 😲 I just got this message from Natasha Kaurra & Luuk Fiets... Starting October 2024, new search and display ads campaigns will no longer have Enhanced CPC as a bidding option. Existing campaigns will continue until March 2025, when they will be migrated to manual CPC bidding. Why this change? Google is transitioning to smarter bidding strategies like Maximise conversions and Maximise conversion value, which deliver improved results. If you track conversions, Google recommends switching to one of these strategies. If not, consider Maximise clicks or Manual cpc. Learn more about your bidding options and ensure your campaigns are ready for the future. -------- For more Google Ads tips check: https://lnkd.in/eK6Zz2Sq #PPC #SEA #Ads

💡 Understanding the Google Ads Auction: How It Works Ever wondered how Google decides which ads to show? It all comes down to the Google Ads Auction—an intelligent, real-time process that balances relevance and bid. 📝 Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ Advertisers Set Their Bids: You tell Google how much you’re willing to pay for a click (CPC). But it’s not just about money. 2️⃣ Ad Quality Matters: Google looks at your Ad Rank—a combination of bid amount, ad quality (measured by Quality Score), and expected impact of ad extensions (e.g., call buttons, sitelinks). 3️⃣ Highest Ad Rank Wins: Ads aren’t shown based on the highest bid alone. A highly relevant ad with a lower bid can outrank a less relevant ad with a higher bid. Quality pays! 4️⃣ Cost Is Calculated: You only pay the minimum necessary to beat the next advertiser’s Ad Rank. This ensures fairness and efficiency. 📊 Key Takeaway: Optimize your ads for relevance, use strong keywords, and improve your Quality Score. This is how you win in the Google Ads Auction, without breaking the bank! 💼🚀 #DigitalMarketing #GoogleAds #PPC #Advertising #AdRank #MarketingStrategy

Optimising and managing Google Ads is something we specialise in! To make sure you’re not left in the dark when we discuss Ad Management with you, here are some keywords you might hear during our conversations: 1️⃣ Ad Auction: This is the process Google uses to decide which ads to show and in what order for a specific search query. This is important as it determines the visibility of your ads. 2️⃣ Ad Rank: This is a value used to determine your ad position in the auction. This is important as it is influenced by your bid amount, ad quality and expected impact of extensions and other ad formats. 3️⃣ Quality Score: This is a score from 1 to 10 that Google will assign to your ad based on the relevance to the keyword, expected click-through rate and landing page experience. This is important as higher quality scores lead to better ad positions and lower costs. 4️⃣ Cost-Per-Click: This is the amount you pay every time someone clicks on your ad. This is important, as understanding your CPC helps you to manage your budget and optimise for cost efficiency. 5️⃣ Click-Through Rate: This is the percentage of people who click on your ad after seeing it. This is important as a high CTR indicates that your ad is relevant to users, which can improve your overall quality score. Need help managing your Google Ads? 𝐀 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞. One of the trickiest thing out there when you are dealing with Google Search Ads. Quality Score is not bad at all, in fact very handy in some cases. Still, when you are focusing on the quality score (ECTR+Relevance+Landing Page Experience) for your ad auction, you must remain careful. Why you ask, the answer will be: 1. Google earns with every click but you don't. 2. You earn when that click turns into conversation. 3. Too much click or high CTR (Click through rate) doesn't ensure conversation. 4. High Quality Score means high ECTR causing you spend lots on your Ads. Quality Score is not necessarily unhealthy for you or your business as it can bring a lots of leads and conversation but you must handle everything with strong PPC strategy. #googleadscampaign #googlesearchads #ctr #relevance #digitalamarketing

This is even more important for Shopping ads and businesses with generic keywords in their name, because your competitors will be all over your search terms. Test this for yourself - type in your business name into Google and see if there are any text ads. Then look in Shopping and see if other businesses have Shopping ads there. If other businesses are showing up for your business name, you will want to consider at least a small advertising budget on your brand terms so that your just-about-to-buy customer doesn’t buy from someone else! #ecommerce #googleads #googleadstips #ppc
