This one was the biggest lesson I learnt about 'Time' ⌛ During my school days, one of my teachers used to tell us that time is precious, so don’t spend it like money. 💡 I always wondered, how is time more precious than money? As a kid, I thought about earning as much money as possible to get everything I wanted. 💰 I believed money was the ultimate goal in life. One day, I asked my teacher, "Why do you always say not to spend time like money?" He just smiled and said, "As you grow, you'll realize what I mean." Fast forward, after experiencing the other side of the world and earning enough money 😊 I started realizing the deep meaning of what he meant. ✨ Here's a beautiful Subhashitam that talks about the importance of time: आयुषः क्षण एकोऽपि सर्वरत्नैर्न न लभ्यते। नीयते स वृथा येन प्रमादः सुमहानहो ॥ Even a single second in life cannot be obtained back by all the precious jewels. Hence, spending it wastefully is a great mistake. 💎 What are your thoughts on ‘time’? I’d love to hear them! Share in the comments! 💬👇 Coaching is Serving. These questions are for those who want to take charge of their life 🤔 📍Do I know exactly what my week looks like? 📍Do I know what I’m going to do this month? 📍Do I have a plan for this year? If the answer to any of these questions is no, there's a high probability that your life isn't going in the right direction. It means you're living life by default. 😒 Some people don’t plan anything about their life; they just accept uncertainties, believe in randomness, and live day by day. And it's absolutely okay to live life this way... However, some people live life by design. They have a plan, outlook, and vision for their life. The probability of having a fulfilled life is extremely high when you start living life by design. This might sound theoretical, but there are certain things you need to explore and experience. Look around, and you’ll find that the world's most successful people live their life by design. If you don’t have anyone to guide you, find someone who can help you design your life. Take charge of your life. 👊 If you found this useful, share it with your network. ♻ P.S. How do you plan your life? Share your thoughts in the comments Coaching is Serving. You’ll never go beyond who you FEEL yourself to be. Trouble is you and I have been conditioned to feel (and think) equal to whatever our current results are, to who we’ve always been. This is a trap, and when you get stuck in it, it can feel almost impossible to get out. You think it’s only once you have the dream job, business, income, client or relationship that you can you feel the way you want. ….but that isn’t true. At any moment you can decide to override your dominant feelings. You can begin to think and feel in new ways. You can begin to believe in some new ideas about yourself. When you learn how to do this the results you want become inevitable. There is a process though… You can’t force a new belief (no matter how much you might want to). You must ‘build belief’. This part is essential because you want a belief that FEELS true to you today. (It’s no good writing out affirmations if it doesn’t feel true - that’s just soul destroying!). This is what I teach at the heart of my mentoring. First you decide what it is you want and then I show you how to become a match to that outcome. You begin to think and feel like it’s already done. You show up in that energy. With that confidence. A client shared something with me recently that sums this up perfectly. She had just landed her dream job, (complete with a v. nice 5 figure pay rise) and when she shared her news she said ‘funny thing is I feel like I’ve had this job since January’. Of course she did! Truth is she created the job for herself when she started working with me in December(before she knew it existed). Everything begins in the mind. Her work was to line up with it. To think, feel and act like it was already hers. This is how it works. This is what I teach inside my mentorship. We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. Jim Rohn. Looking back at my own life, I know this to be true because I’ve lived both. For years, I was that person who procrastinated, who promised myself, “I’ll start tomorrow,” but tomorrow never came. I was unorganised, lazy, and stuck in a cycle of excuses. I still remember how it felt—overwhelmed, frustrated, and constantly watching opportunities pass me by. It was a painful place to be, but at some point, I realized something had to change. The life I wanted wasn’t going to magically appear; I had to earn it. So, I began working on self-discipline. It was messy and hard at first. I struggled to stick to schedules, stay consistent, and fight off old habits. There were days I wanted to quit. But little by little, things started to shift. I started seeing the power of small, disciplined actions. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to say I’m a British-Certified TESOL, TTT, Soft Skills, and Corporate Trainer. I’ve had the privilege of training thousands of students and working professionals worldwide—helping them develop the skills and confidence to achieve success in their fields. None of this would’ve been possible without the discipline to push through my own limitations and the perseverance to keep going when it felt easier to stop. If you’re struggling with procrastination or feeling stuck, I want you to know that change is possible. You don’t have to make giant leaps overnight; just start with one small step today. Commit to yourself. Because here’s the truth: Discipline may feel hard in the moment, but regret will weigh you down forever. If my story resonates with you, I’d love to hear about your journey. What’s one step you’re taking toward your goals today? Let’s inspire each other to keep growing! #SelfDiscipline #PersonalGrowth #Transformation #Motivation #Leadership

To put yourself first, for once (because you know you can’t keep “giving” to others and not “give” anything to yourself)… or not? Is that a question you’ve been asking yourself for a very long time? You’re overwhelmed by life, you’re stressed, you’re tired… you just need a break, a little bit of time to look after yourself, to reflect… But there’s just so much to do: at work, for the family, for your friends… There’s just no time left for you… so you keep going… but, deep down, you know it’s not good… WHAT IF you looked at the situation from a different angle? - Like that story of the teacher filling out a jar with sand, then pebbles, then rocks... but not all the rocks fit in! But when the rocks are put in first, everything fit in!!! WHAT IF putting yourself first is one of those rocks? >>> How would that CHANGE your life – in the short-term, and in the long-term? >>> Are you READY to make this happen… and TAKE ACTION? Are you thinking “YES… but HOW?”… Well, get the answer working with me and my Coffee-break Coaching: it’s all about YOU, it fits in a busy schedule, and you’re held accountable… So, take the 1st step and book a call with me (free) to discuss how I can help you: https://lnkd.in/gt68FVQW #PistachioCassis #SelfLeadership #LeadYourself #ProfessionalDevelopment #PersonalDevelopment #Growth #ProfessionalWomen #CareerWomen #PutYourselfFirst

"It will be yellow.” "No, I think it will be red. "No way, it will be white.” 🤔 I was debating with my daughters about the color of the lotus that would bloom in our neighbor’s garden. A few days later, the lotus bloomed, and it turned out to be a completely different color than any of us predicted. (Beautiful pink) Life is just like this – full of uncertainties. We keep predicting and it’s okay to predict. However, many times, we try to force our predictions without considering: 🌷What am I predicting? 🌷How does it impact my life? 🌷Am I ready to accept the outcome as it is? 🌷Do I see the beauty in what comes out? 🌷Should I let some things happen on their own? 🌷If the outcome is just an experience, why worry? 🌷Can I control the outcome? and many more.... The true beauty of life lies in the randomness that comes into our ordered life. While success often comes from living life by design, we should let certain events take their own course, accept the facts, adjust ourselves, and move on. Found this useful? Share it for the benefit of your network. P.S. How do you prepare yourself when predicting life events? Share your thoughts in the comments. Coaching is Serving. 💡 The Treasure Within 💡 This beautiful exchange from "From Strength to Strength" resonates deeply: "I asked Acharya what is the one piece of advice he would give men and women my age who have been workaholics and success addicts—special, not happy—and who tremble at the thought of leaving. He paused for a long time. 'Know yourself,' he finally said. 'That is all. Nothing else. Nothing else can release.' 'How?' I asked. 'By going within,' he replied. 'When your mind is quiet, you will find that treasure waiting for you within.' " In a world where achievement is often confused with fulfillment, this reminder feels like a lifeline. So many of us are conditioned to seek validation and meaning externally—in work, accolades, or the next big milestone. Yet, the true treasure isn’t out there. It’s been within us all along. 🧘♂️ The challenge is learning to quiet the noise. The noise of busyness, comparison, and striving. When we finally pause, the stillness reveals clarity, peace, and an authentic connection to ourselves. What if the answer to the restlessness you feel isn’t in doing more but in doing less—and turning inward? Here’s a practice to try: Set aside five minutes today to sit quietly. No agenda, no distractions—just you and your thoughts. Ask yourself: Who am I beyond my work, my roles, my successes? Be patient with what surfaces. The treasure is worth the wait. ✨ What might you discover in the stillness? I am a certified Leadership Coach working for the Air Force Coaching Office. This allows me to provide coaching services to Department of Defense (DoD) employees at no charge. Are you facing a personal or professional challenge? Looking to take your life to the next level? You are a disappointment. Words matter. Most of us would not say this to someone else. Okay, a few dickheads do. But most normal people, no. But interestingly, we often ‘tell ourselves’ that we are disappointed. ‘I should have done better.’ ‘I’m just no good at this.’ ‘I won’t be able to get another job beyond what I am doing now.’ Words matter. Words shape our beliefs. Beliefs shape are actions. You do your best. You can learn new things. You will get any job you really believe in. It is just a matter of your beliefs. Clients I work with go beyond the crossroads so they are no longer stuck and overwhelmed. They learn how to smash through those limiting beliefs and discover a new narrative of positive and empowering words. They find their right path and are unstoppable creating the life of their dreams. Join them. Beyond the Crossroads is a 10-session programme of bespoke coaching that takes you on a tried and tested journey to transform your life. Only 2 places are available this Spring – for a chance to join the programme and go beyond the crossroads, book a free consultation. #LiveDaringDreams #inspiration #motivation #dreamjob #happiness #education #headteacher #teachers #career #work #life #careercoaching #leadershipcoaching #lifecoach #leadership #management #goals #cvwriting #schoolleaders #schoolleadership #teaching #careerchange #careeradvice

This poem came to mind on a call this morning. I remember first reading it in 1997, and being struck by the message it gave me. It was permission, an invitation, an instruction in fact, to do what I'm here to do, and to do it with courage and conviction. So, what holds us back from being able to do the great work we're meant to be doing? It can be different for each of us, we all have our own unique story, but underlying it all, are our personal beliefs. Beliefs are funny -- we choose to believe what we think to be true, even though there may be a lot of evidence to the contrary. We choose to stick to our way of seeing ourselves, other people and the world, even when it's outdated and doesn't serve us well. In coaching we explore your underlying beliefs to get an understanding of where they may be holding you back and keeping you in a 'stuck place' We explore many different ways of approaching your situation. We do an audit of your past experiences, talents, transferable skills (even though you think you don't have any!), competences, support, and learning and development needs and opportunities that can help you move forward. We map out the steps to get to where you want to - and need to - be! 12 months later you'll look back - not able to believe how much you've achieved and wondering why you let yourself stay 'stuck' for so long. If this resonates, and you'd like to have a chat about your specific challenge, please feel free to DM me, or 'Book An Appointment' using the link above. I look forward to meeting you! #careercoach #executivecoach #purpose

Sir Alex Ferguson, Vince Lombardi, Phil Jackson, Ivan Cleary (had to put him in!). Coaches revered for their results over a long period of time. Seen as successful by their ability to get the best out of their players. But what about our 5th coach? 😱 Fear is often misunderstood and seen as somebody to avoid. ⁉️Why is this? What are we truly avoiding? I challenge you to think of the best coach, teacher or boss you have had. What attributes did you most respect? ✅ Did they make you uncomfortable? ✅ Did they challenge you? ✅ Did they expose areas of vulnerability? 🧠 Using Fear as a coach can be an underrated method to reflect on the areas you most need to develop. Likely expose the things we are most sensitive about and the areas we avoid addressing. However what is on the other side of: procrastination, anxiety, stress, low confidence, lacking trust, micromanaging (fear comes in many forms!)? PROGRESS! 💡 The best leaders are able to empower others to embrace discomfort, learn from mistakes and challenge themselves and others around them to strive for success rather than avoid failure. 🤔 Imagine a world where Fear was seen as an Allie keeping us safe rather than a hindrance holding us back from achieving our goals. 💪 Like anything beneficial, progress is hard and a skill to be learned, practiced and refined. Challenge “negative” thoughts, celebrate progress and embrace discomfort! #procrastination #primemindcoaching #progress #fear #coaching

Gratitude could be the most potent tool for building mental fortitude and resilience. Reminding myself of the journeys I’ve been privileged to enjoy, helps me stay centred and acknowledging the enormously talented and principled people I’ve been blessed to learn from reminds me of what we are each capable of. Many of us look upon particular opportunities as having been formative or the opening of an important door, and the second person I want to acknowledge gave me such a chance. Thank you, Carrie Hutchison for your calm confidence, ultimate solutions orientation and for: ❔ Asking great questions. I suspect we share what Patrick Lencioni calls the Working Genius of Wonder, and you set an incredible example of embracing curiosity to improve day-to-day efficiency as well as think about strategic imperatives. I felt excited when you asked a question – particularly (as they often were) when accompanied with a spreadsheet. ⚖️ For demonstrating influence. While an astute and ultra-capable leader who could simply dictate highly effective routes forward, you use influence with far more finesse. I feel like I learned every time you chaired an important meeting. 🏗️ For teaching me to build a team around its, and my own, strengths and weaknesses. I place an enormous value on self-awareness in good part because you showed me how powerful it could be. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who can work with, learn from or share a curry with Carrie, to make the very most of the opportunity. #mymentor #mentorship #legendaryleader #gratitude
