Last week we had an interesting discussion in a panel of esteemed speakers, Rémy LEVASTRE Sam Amory and Dr. Hamzeh J. Awad Associate Professor. Moderated by the skilled Dr. Sven Jansen. Having a patient ( individual) centric approach is the way forward to deliver value based health care and improve health outcomes. This however is only possible with technology if the data we use is of good quality and we are able to learn from it . Building an ecosystem where we can ultimately share data , without compromising privacy or safety , for the purpose of research and treatment will be a key enabler for #longevity and #accountable care . Transforming Healthcare: Insights from the Global Digital Health Summit At the Global Digital Health Summit, Expo & Innovation Awards, Techment Technology had the privilege of participating and collaborating with world leaders—medical practitioners, medtech entrepreneurs, and nursing community leaders. Significant developments are happening worldwide, with data taking center stage. The experience was truly mesmerizing, enriched by knowledge flowing from leaders sharing their real-world experiences. Their insights into how healthcare is evolving and the role a collaborative ecosystem will play in the future were invaluable. We sincerely thank Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, PhD for chairing the summit and providing Techment with the opportunity to participate and collaborate. As he aptly said, "This is not the age of competitors; this is the age of creators," a sentiment we wholeheartedly agree with and extend our best wishes and support to him as a catalyst for data-driven initiatives. Newsweek’s cover from two weeks ago captures the state of technology and healthcare today. And this quote from Paulo Nigro, CEO of Hospital Sírio-Libanês in Sao Paulo, Brazil sums it up well – “The hospital of the future Is a hospital driven by data … the [Covid] crisis has accelerated this process of using data to make decisions." Having just come from HIMSS 2024 (the largest health tech conference in the world with over 30,000 attendees and more than 1,000 companies on exhibit) I can confirm it’s all about AI and data. It's an exciting time to be in healthcare. There's a lot of hype out there for sure, but the stakes are high and healthcare consumers deserve every bit of innovation we can bring to the industry. And here’s one more quote from this issue of Newsweek and Gianrico Farrugia, MD, President and CEO, Mayo Clinic – "Risk number one is that health care doesn't embrace AI, and doesn't deliver what we need to deliver, which is better health care for all.”
