Not using AI doesn’t make your posts more authentic. AI is a tool—just like a blacksmith uses a hammer or a contractor uses power tools. It’s about using the right tools for the job. Authenticity isn’t an excuse for half-baked ideas or content riddled with errors. Use AI to refine, communicate, and get your message across clearly. Don’t leave your trade behind—adapt.

Don't let AI put words in your mouth. Especially if it's "in your voice". That's what the growing anti-AI trend tells us 👇 And fair enough. We're all craving authentic stories and experience-led advice while being fed platitudes, the same old mediocre advice and same rehashed fakely inspirational story to indigestion. I've noticed a growing trend of formulaic social media posts relying exclusively on contrast framing as their primary delivery method. For example: "It's not just a table; it's a gathering space for your family." If this isn't the most Chat GPT thing ever, I don't know what is. AI LinkedIn Writing Is losing my respect Let’s be honest, when I see posts that clearly look like they were written by ChatGPT, I lose a bit of respect for the message. You can recognize it by using emojis kicking off every sentence, overly high language, and the ever-present long dash “—” tying it all together. AI tools are powerful, but they’re not optimized for authenticity. If you want me (or anyone) to actually read your post, spend a little time making it yours. Add your voice, your perspective, and your language. AI can help with ideas, even in rephrasing your sentences, but it isn’t ready yet for all package human post replacement. What are your thoughts? Have you spotted these patterns too?

Normally, I do not follow trends or share non-professional posts on LinkedIn. However, I found this trend an exception, as it is intriguing and meaningful. It offers a glimpse into how GenAI, specifically ChatGPT, perceives you based on the information you share and presents it in an interesting visual format. Personally, I found it to be a fascinating and fun experiment! Try it yourself by asking ChatGPT, "Based on what you know of me, draw a picture of what you think my life currently looks like?" You will gain insight into how this AI interprets your life!

I did a fun little experiment this morning. As I sat down to write, I thought I'd do a prompt on ChatGPT to get a little inspiration. If I wanted to, I could've simply copy/pasted what I got out of it, and I would've had plenty for a good post. Honestly, it wouldn't even take much polishing to get something I'd be happy with, and it would've taken me probably 2 total minutes. I've heard it said "You won't lose your job from AI, but you might lose your job to someone who knows how to use it." Your homework assignment today is to go on YouTube and find an introductory video showing you how to use an AI service like ChatGPT, and figure out a way that it can streamline your workload.

My dad uses this ChatGPT trick almost every day (and I bet you don’t know it!). We’ve all been there; asking ChatGPT for a quick answer, but it just won’t stop writing. Here’s the fix: just add two words to your question: NO YAPPING. No yapping? Yep, GenZ slang for a GenZ AI. It cuts the fluff and gives you exactly what you need, fast. 📸 Check the video to see how it works. But if you want ChatGPT to give all the extra details? Use my dad’s second favorite phrase: Yap well well 😂. P.S. Would you try "No Yapping" or "Yap well well" for your next question?

Can We Talk About LinkedIn posts? So, almost everyone is using ChatGPT and the likes to write LinkedIn posts now. Sure, it’s convenient, but where’s the originality? How about we ditch the AI for a sec and actually use our brains? Write something that sounds like YOU, not a robot. Tell a story, share a fail, or drop some wisdom that only you can offer.
