⭐⭐ Marathon Hike to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support ⭐⭐ 💰 Donate 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWJpTbjp Following the success and generosity of everyones help raising £1755 for MacMillan Cancer Support last year on a marathon trek across the Cornish coastline, I'll be Donating a Day this year on 31st August to complete another! ...and clearly someone at MacMillan got the hint as they have a properly sponsored and organised "Mighty Hike" this time, vs last year with just me, a mate, a backpack and high winds. 💕 About MacMillan Your help is hugely appreciated and any donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference to someone living with cancer. With 1 in 2 of us getting the big C at some point in our lifetime, one way or another it touches all of us. As someone who's lived through that myself (as you may know from my fund raiser last year) - if you know someone living with the C right now, there are many ways you can help from a cup of coffee, to a listening ear, to help with small things around the house. With treatment being so tiring, even a home cooked meal can make a real difference to someone's day - trust me. 🚶♂️ The Walk Last year I picked a route close to my home down in Looe through to Charlestown near St Austell. This year, Macmillan have a "properly" organized trek route including stewards, medical staff, drinks and snacks at pit stops. Could have done with that last year at about mile 15! The route starts in Padstow and runs along the coast, through Mawgan Porth and finishing in Newquay. More about the event - https://lnkd.in/eQ5xxRfU ⌛ Last Year 9 hours, 33 minutes, 42 seconds - 27 miles, enough elevation to do Ben Nevis, storm force 50mph winds and wet and muddy. Zero training and almost busted my hip in the process. ⌛ This year Who knows? - 24 miles, about half the elevation, and hopefully dry... I type that while looking out the window at torrential rain. I'm on a calorie counting diet at the moment, but similarly poor general fitness. Anyway - I really appreciate your support, and please do think of those in your life affected by the Big C. Tom

With Universal Giving, recipients can choose to donate the value of their gift to 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭. Imagine this: with over 3,400 e-gifts sent through Sendoso 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲, if just a fraction of those gifts – say 10% – were valued at $50 and donated, that’s $17,000 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞. For Giving Tuesday, I have spotlighted one charity that is close to my heart National Brain Tumor Society. Together, we’re making a difference – one gift, one cause, one life at a time. #globalgiving #universalgiving #givingtuesday

Imagine your home sale could change a child's life. 🏥✨ At Pileggi Real Estate Team, we believe in making a difference beyond just buying and selling properties. We're proud supporters of SickKids Foundation, and we're on a mission to raise $50,000 for SickKids Hospital. Here's how you can be a part of this mission: When you work with us to buy or sell a home, a portion of our income is donated to SickKids in honor of YOU - our clients, friends, and family members. This means every transaction helps in building a new SickKids Hospital and supporting kids battling serious diseases like cancer and leukemia. Our recent donation of $10,000 to SickKids Hospital is just the beginning. With your help, we can do so much more. Why does this matter? - Kids at SickKids are more likely to enter into remission if they can access the Recovery Center. - The Recovery Center relies heavily on sponsorships and donations. - Your referrals and collaborations help these kids get the treatment they need. So, the next time you consider buying or selling real estate, think about how you can make a difference in a child's life. Let's change lives together, one home at a time. #RealEstate #Toronto #SickKids #Charity #HomeSales #PileggiRealEstate
