The waterfront is more than just good sunrise views and a stellar jogging path, it's an economic hub with endless potential. Thanks to Nieuport Aviation for inviting us to join an engaging discussion about the future of Toronto's waterfront. Insights from Richard Florida, RJ Steenstra, George Zegarac and Tim Kocur highlighted the significance of the area as a world-class destination. I look forward to seeing the next phase of this transformation!

Some people don't realize the potential of the Vancouver Island Railway. https://lnkd.in/gh9QP5tP Not only is it a railway, but it's also a utility corridor. It's also a large amount of real-estate that can be used to create affordable housing on a permanent transit route, but also integrated as connections to entertainment and shopping venues. With the right planning, the possibilities for the future of the E&N are endless.

I got stuck in traffic for over an hour on I-35 Friday outside of San Antonio, and I'm angry that I've lived in this region on and off for over 30 years, and this traffic situation only worsens. In the late '80s, a high-speed rail between Austin-San Antonio-Houston and Dallas was suggested. However, it got shut down mainly because Southwest was a Texas-only regional airline that serviced those markets and lobbied against it. Well, that's no longer the case. Why can't we create a high-speed rail? Existing rail lines already exist but are owned privately. Let's invest in buying those lines and creating a Brightline between Austin and San Antonio to start and then add the other cities. That is what South Florida has done. We can do this. It will improve commercial trucking flow on I-35, alleviate congestion, improve environmental conditions, and generate billions of dollars in increased regional productivity. https://lnkd.in/gjEqXXky

Delighted to be spending the day at Biggin Hill airport. This place is steeped in history, and today serves as an unqualified business aviation success story, employing 1800 today and heading for 2500 by 2030. Demand for staff today is so high that Biggin Hill is building homes for them. They’re like the Cadburys of business aviation. Don’t forget: If you want to go to Taylor Swift concerts, you need airports like Biggin Hill. If you want there to be organ transplant flights and medical flights, you need airports like Biggin Hill. If you want your region to receive foreign direct investment, you need airports like Biggin Hill. The sector is well aware of its emissions and doesn’t want to pass the buck. But it’s worth noting that the innovations it produces can help to decarbonise other aviation sectors. Winglets are a great example of this. Contrail avoidance represents the next frontier. But that’s for another post. Today it’s about having fun at Biggin Hill.

DUE DILIGENCE & NEW BRISBANE FLIGHT PATHS So many of my clients say at settlement, 'We got lucky with the selection'. While luck (destiny) is always an element, I don't think my clients realise how much due diligence goes into the sourcing of properties. After decades in the industry, and having ridden through several economic cycles, I know what to look for and I conduct the same due diligence for my clients as I would for someone I loved. The due diligence I conduct is long and thorough, even if you only see an eagle eye summary in the Property Proposal I present to you. One of the many things I research is flight paths. None of my clients have purchased property under a flight path, but of course there's no guarantee about future flight paths. With the upcoming Olympics in Brisbane, the Queensland State Government are proposing new flight paths. If you've sourced property through Visionworks, please look into these new flight paths to see if the proposed path is over your property because it will affect the value and yield. If the proposed flight path affects your property NOW is the time for you to lodge your objection. https://lnkd.in/gieb3gbz #Brisbane #property #investment #yield #growth #flightpaths #olympics #research #money

Make sure you ‘Have Your Say’ for the survival of #AshwellMotors who are at risk of closing, after 40 years serving the local community unless the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority actively listens to the community and agrees the owners credible proposals for designated customer parking. Section 278 of the Highways Act 1980 is an enabler to fund such a parking arrangement as it’s intention is to mitigate the impact of developments on the local community! #nobodyleftbehind in #regeneration is what the #planforprosperity clearly states - this is probably the first test of that plan!
🚉 A new station is coming to the Baltic Triangle and we want to know what you think about our plans. Plans for Liverpool Baltic station include step-free access from street to train, passenger waiting facilities, fully accessible passenger toilets, secured monitored cycle parking and links to an enhanced local active travel network.
