Does your job spec stop people from applying? HR... forgive me! Ever read a JD and think – “why's it in there?” - 5+ years medical device experience - 3 years+ in 'X' therapeutic area - Degree educated to bachelor level Often these can be marked down as essential. Once I take a brief from a hiring manager none of this is spoken of. It's all about - Talent. Ability. Character. And just enough experience to avoid 'hand holding' In reality the best talent could have 3 years medical device experience, the least experience in your speciality and no degree. But this person won't apply because they doubt they meet your criteria. Let's stop discouraging the best talent from applying for your jobs. ↓ We don't just attract talent. We want to give you the tools to attract better talent too. ——— → [email protected] → Yozi Search & Selection

Key Lessons in Selecting the Right #Recruitment Partner for the #MedicalDevices Industry. Lesson 1: Choose Connect Life Science. I'm kidding. But...You're likely going to hire in the next 6 months*. Specialized Industry Knowledge is a Must. The medtech sector has unique regulations, technical requirements, and industry standards. Deep expertise in this field ensures they understand the talent profile needed and the regulatory landscape your hires will operate within. Track Record of Success Matters. Evaluate the agency's past performance. How many successful placements have they made in the medical devices industry? How long have they operated in this space? Ask for social proof, references and case studies that demonstrate their ability to find candidates who fit the technical and cultural needs of the organization. Understanding of Regulatory Compliance. A recruitment partner must understand FDA, ISO, or EU MDR regulations, depending on your market. This ensures they can identify candidates who are familiar with the regulatory framework critical to the success of your business. Focus on Long-Term Fit, Not Just Quick Wins. It’s tempting to choose a recruiter based on how fast they can fill a position, but a true partner will prioritize long-term success. They’ll focus on candidates who are not just qualified, but also a great cultural fit, reducing turnover and boosting retention. Technology and Network Access. A recruitment partner with access to cutting-edge technology and a robust network is essential. The ability to leverage AI tools, databases, and a wide-reaching candidate pool can dramatically improve the quality and speed of your hires. (Needing to effectively interview and screen these people against your need is key too). Have you evaluated your recruitment partners recently? If not, see how they stack up on the these ⬆ *Or your business is going the other way and you'll be looking for a new job. In that case reach out for some help!
