🔹 From Redundancy to Entrepreneurship and Back To Work: My Cheesecake Fuelled Journey 🔹 2 months ago, I found myself unexpectedly facing redundancy. It was a daunting moment, but it sparked a fire within me to explore new opportunities and embrace change. Instead of letting the uncertainty consume me, I decided to take matters into my own hands. With a passion for tasty food and a love for all things cheesecake, I embarked on a journey to turn my hobby into a business. Armed with determination and a secret recipe, I launched my small venture from the comfort of my own kitchen. Reality is not the dreamland that modern society injects into people. The first moment that the doctor said, "Is a girl." Immediately, she illuminated our world. Happiness fulfilled my wife Silvia and me. I know this experience is common, but I don't have enough words to express this feeling. Life is a pandora's box. Sometimes, happiness stays for a while, and occasionally, tricky situations strike hard in the most awkward moments. A new job is always an exciting moment. Discovering a new culture, meeting different people, and new challenges are encouraging moments. How am I supposed to know the future actions of my new boss? Sure, I can't, and it drastically impacted my work life. Corporate bullying started to be part of the daily routine: pay cuts, perks reductions, psychological pressure. I decided to meditate, reflect on this situation, and see the big picture. I choose to strike back by reinventing myself. My motivation is my family, and my determination to enroll in an MBA to change careers boosted my new commitment. A twisted situation came up: a shoulder operation and a new challenge put me on an extended sick leave. My entrepreneurial spirit drives me to seize the opportunity, roll up my sleeves, and dive into action with the business plan for my new idea. The new beginning of hope opened my eyes. You can call misfortune, failure, or destiny, but the most crucial thing is the attitude with which you face it. I'm so grateful that these situations came into my life. It is an opportunity to strengthen my self-confidence and explore new ways of growth. This healing commitment allowed me to enjoy the process of building my freedom. I understand that everything in my life is for my good and an essential means of growth. I firmly believe that nothing and no one can make me happy except myself. Choose your decision wisely! I like my job - and that’s the biggest blessing I have. Yesterday was a Sunday - and I spent almost the whole day working. My friend called me in the evening, and when I told him this, he said - “Dude, what’s wrong with you?” I thought about it for a second. I did a double take to see if something WAS indeed wrong with me. But I realised it wasn’t about what was wrong. It was about what was… right. Because here’s the thing - I actually enjoy what I do for work. → I’ve always loved writing, and telling stories - and that’s what I get to do for a living. →I enjoy working with ambitious people - and I’m now hiring them to build our team. →I’m inspired by entrepreneur success stories - which is exactly what my clients are. Yes, running my own agency has a bunch of challenges. I’m writing this at 3:13 AM after spending the last 2 hours writing ‘pending invoice’ mails. And being my own boss also allows me the freedom no other career opportunity could. So if I really want to, I can go cycling in the woods on a Tuesday morning, or spend a week working from an AirBnB in Manali. I was supposed to go on a trek this Sunday as well, but it got cancelled, so I was happy to work it off. And working for a few hours over the weekend doesn’t feel like a sacrifice, because it helps me get the coming week in order. So to sum it up - I don’t dread Mondays. I don’t live for the weekends. The day of the week honestly doesn’t make much difference to me. A have to hustle a bit every day, and I don't mind it. I think I’m okay with this balance I’ve found (for now), and I wouldn’t have it any other way. How do you define balance in your life? #entrepreneurship #startup

I started my business on mat leave exactly 4 years ago today, and I was scared. It was the biggest career pivot of my life. After a very successful career at L'Oreal, many people thought I was crazy to walk away from that for something that wasn't guaranteed. And to be honest, I questioned it a lot too. Countless thoughts ran through my mind: 👉 Would people find value in what I have to share? 👉 Would I be able to stand out in a sea of noise? 👉 Would I truly make an impact in this world? But instead of letting the self-doubt take over, I chose to bet on myself. Looking back, it's wild to think how far I've come in this journey. I'm so grateful for the amazing clients I've had and continue to have in empowering them to take full control of their success as the top 1%. I'm so grateful for the audience I've built across multiple social platforms who show up with me daily to uplevel and commit to their growth (yes, you!). I'm so grateful for the incredible connections and relationships I've made in becoming a career coach and workplace expert. And most of all, I'm so grateful for the time, flexibility and freedom this has given me with my family. It has always been a dream of mine to be able to travel with my family whenever we want, without much pre-planning. And now this is my reality. We are wrapping up a fantastic trip in California (combo business and personal) and making memories that will last a lifetime! I do not take these moments for granted. Rather, they are a constant reminder of the life I chose and the risks I took to make it happen. And my gosh, has it been worth it ❤️️ What's 1 decision that scared you in your career or life? #businessowner #entrepreneurship #womenentrepreneurs #entrepreneur

𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘑𝘰𝘣 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘦𝘸: 𝘔𝘺 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘐𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵, 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲 🌱 When I lost my job, it felt like the world stopped. Everything I had worked for, gone in an instant due to circumstances beyond my control. It was a tough period—mentally and emotionally. I fell into a space I never expected: doubt, uncertainty, and even depression. But here's the truth: setbacks don't last forever. And slowly, I began to see a way forward. I’m still finding my way, but I’ve come a long way from those dark days. I’ve started building a marketing boutique agency, and while it’s far from perfect, it’s mine. And that gives me hope. Here’s what helped me turn things around: 1. Embrace the Change It’s hard to let go of the past, but once I accepted that my old job was gone, I started to see new possibilities. 2. Identify What Makes You, You I had to rediscover my strengths and ask, “What am I really good at?” That’s where the spark for my new venture came from. 3. Small Steps, Big Vision I didn’t have everything figured out (still don’t). But setting small goals and working towards them day by day has been key. 4. Lean on Others I reached out to old colleagues, managers, and founders—people who had seen me at my best and worst—and asked for advice. Their guidance has been invaluable, and I still turn to them for support. More on this in a future post, where I’ll dive into how these conversations helped shape my path. 5. Resilience is a Muscle Some days are hard. But resilience is like a muscle—the more you work on it, the stronger it gets. I'm still working on mine, but every day I push forward. Starting over doesn’t erase your struggles, but it teaches you to see them differently. For anyone out there going through something similar—keep going. It gets better. 💪 I’d love to hear your story. How did you push through a tough time? #Resilience #Entrepreneurship #OvercomingChallenges #MentalHealth #NewBeginnings

Unpopular opinion: Founders need to take a day off—and stop feeling guilty about it. Yes, I said it. You don’t need to work 24/7 to succeed. In fact, taking a day off can actually make you a better founder. For me, I like to spend time with my family—relaxing, playing sports, or just doing something completely unrelated to work. It helps break the monotony and resets my mind. The best thing is it doesn’t have to be a weekend. It could be a random Tuesday or Thursday. Whatever works for you. Taking time off gives you fresh ideas, helps you think creatively, and makes you more effective when you’re back at it. My advice? Pick one day this week. Unplug. Recharge. You’ll thank yourself later. How do you spend your time off? #Entrepreneurship #FoundersLife #WorkLifeBalance #Leadership

What's Life Like After Resignation? Three months ago, I resigned from my previous company after an incredible 5-year journey. Let me share where I am now. Since then, I’ve been laser-focused on scaling my new business into something extraordinary. So, what's my business about? I help creators, entrepreneurs, and brands craft viral videos that dominate social media. Through courses, consultations, and full-scale video production, my work has generated over 1 billion views for my clients. I've helped clients grow from zero to over 100K followers in just three months, building both their audience and business. My hustle started getting me 20-50K AED/month. Now? It's grown to a 6-figure monthly net revenue (the plan is to hit 7-figure/month soon) I've built an amazing team too. From working solo, I now lead 18 talented individuals who create some of the most viral videos on the planet. Yesterday marked a major milestone—I officially registered my company, Viral Mates and finished all the legal papers work. Next up? Finding an office to bring this vision to life (yes, we've achieved all this working from home and cafés!). This journey has been challenging yet incredibly fulfilling. If you're considering making a bold move, trust me—it's worth it. Interested in helping you/your brand blowing up your social media? Switching off is something that I used to find incredibly challenging 😥 I started my business to help entrepreneurs remove the constant content creation overwhelm and leverage evergreen client acquisition system to grow profitability and peacefully… and also to have the freedom to do things that fuel me. Yet since owning my own business, work really has become my life and while I’m incredibly grateful for the position I’m in, there have definitely been times when I wish I could have switched off. I believe growing a business comes in seasons: There are seasons where you need to go ALL IN and do whatever is required to move the vision forward. And there are seasons where you need to honor your need for rest, reflection and rejuvenation. Otherwise you slowly become resentful of your baby AKA your business! 😅 And end up burned out At least that’s what happened to me in 2022. 🫠 So here’s what I’ve done to make switching off a little bit easier : ✨ Scheduling time away from work to make sure I plug into people that I love the most ✨ Prioritising daily and weekly self care activities (massages, gym, fancy lunches, etc) ✨ Using my phone/tablet notes app when I come up with ideas rather than taking my laptop with me ✨Hiring a team and learning how to be a better leader so I can peacefully turn off emails and slack notifications knowing my clients are taken care of. Did it happen overnight? Nope. Has it been easy? Absolutely not. But is it worth it? Yep. Totally. I’ve been in this wild ride for close to 4 years now, so it took « a minute » to make these adjustments. So don’t let comparison steal your joy and remember why you started in the first place: I bet you’ll realize you’re a lot more successful than you think. Now it’s your turn, share what you do to switch off from work? 👇🏽 Cheering you on, friend 🤗 . . . . . . . . #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurlife #smallbusinessowners #socialmediamarketingtips #socialmediamarketing #adsstrategist

Last night's adventures in the rain. Don't worry, I got home safely. And here's what I learned! Life is just a series of choices We do our best with what's in front of us. It doesn't always work out as planned. But we still get to choose. I am big believer in growth mindset. This means you embrace challenges, instead of being a victim. Just like these ROAD CLOSED signs I drove up to, At the end of a very long day. A similar thing happened to me a year ago, on this same road. I was a mess! Crying...scared... uncertain... Here I am a year later in the same spot/same car, but different result. Growth Mindset for realz! Yeah I had some sniffles when I first saw these signs. I wanted to be HOME NOW. But did some deep breathing (thank you Dave Gieselman). And I was feeling inspired by the ProVisors event I'd attended, Sharing business leads and positive energy with other xlnt people. In this calmer space, I chose NOT to drive past those signs (yah, I thought about it) And instead took the 45 minutes around the mountain for safety. The alternate route was very pretty. I took the extra time to decompress and plan my next day of productivity, Finally trudging through the mud and fog, Warm and safe to bed! Today I feel well rested, Enjoying the sunshine, And sharing this story, To hopefully inspire you. Next time you are dealing with an obstacle, Or maybe you're dealing with MANY, and it feels constant 💙 Take a few breaths, Consider your options, Ask for help, Find your gratitude, Embrace the friggin journey, And maybe a year from now you'll find yourself In the exact same situation, but you're a better person making better choices! Anything is possible 🌞 Thanks again for the inspiring and helpful energy As I'm rebuilding Dreamore, taking on new clients for hiring support, and building this lovely home and garden to share with you.
