Over the last few weeks I have had the opportunity to speak with many community banks and credit unions. Understanding their pain points helps us develop stronger strategies to support them in their journey. There are consistent issues within branch banking. 1. The war on deposits rages on admist the rising cost of funds. How can they differentiate and grow customers/members and deposit dollars. 2. Rising cost of branch banking, driven by rising wages, while branch traffic continues to decline. How can we make our branches more efficient? 3. Declining fee income largely driven to regulatory pressure on consumer fees. How can we be profitable? 4. Increasing technology cost. End of life ATMs (NCR 30/Diebold Opteva), upcoming PCI changes, upcoming windows upgrade. How do we navigate the cost to upgrade vs. replacing with new machines with greater functionality? Is your institution struggling with some of these same issues? QDS has a long history of partnering with organizations to solve complex and interconnected issues.
