This applies to life in general.
I seldom end a workday without asking myself about the contributions that I made during the day. I learned a long time ago that doing the best job we possibly can doesn't stop with simply performing our job description. Positive contributions come in all shapes and sizes, but the best ones make a material difference to the overall success of the organization that we are a part of. Some simple questions I ask myself: 1) Did I impact the bottom line 2) Did I boost team morale 4) Was I a Brand Ambassador It is easy to go through the motions each day, but when we narrow all our busyness down to these three areas, then we truly discover what kind of impact we are making. Remember, it is not about the contribution at the beginning or end of the year… but what kind of contribution we are making day in and day out.
