In the run-up to Mental Health Awareness Week, more related posts are starting to appear on social media. Whilst we are being reminded about the struggles of many who suffer from mental health issues, it is important to remember how complex mental health is. We all have mental health that needs protecting 💪 The presence of good mental health is more than the absence of mental health illness. People can experience low and high levels of wellbeing, whether they have a mental health diagnosis or not. A high level of wellbeing is associated with more positive emotions towards life and better mental, emotional, and social functioning. A low level of well-being, otherwise called languishing (Keyes, 2010), is not considered to be a mental disorder, but it can be as debilitating as major depression and it increases the risk of a major depression episode. A good place to start, when building awareness around ways to support your own mental health, may be to ask questions like: 👉 What do you do to look after your mental health? 👉 Do you consider your well-being when making decisions, both in personal and professional life? 👉 What does and what doesn’t serve your state of wellbeing? #Wellbeing, #positivementalhealth, #mentalhealth, #mentalhealthawarenessweek, #mentalhealthawarenessmonth, #languishing, #thriving, #flourishing, #positivepsychology, #positivepsychologypractice

Are Your Habits Fueling Your Anxiety? Some actions, though unintentional, can unknowingly increase anxiety. For instance: Avoiding stressors may bring short-term relief but often heightens anxiety when the issue resurfaces. Overanalyzing situations or seeking constant reassurance keeps the mind locked in a cycle of worry and fear. Breaking these patterns starts with self-awareness. When you recognize behaviors that fuel anxiety, you can replace them with healthier coping strategies. This empowers you to: ✔️ Prevent anxiety from escalating ✔️ Build emotional balance and resilience ✔️ Create a supportive environment for your mental well-being Remember, small, intentional changes can help you regain control and nurture your emotional health. 💡 Which habit might you rethink today? ✨ Take the first step toward better mental health: 👉 Free Mental Health Self-Assessment Test: https://lnkd.in/gagvGW9k 👉 Subscribe for Weekly Mental Health Tips: https://lnkd.in/gB89CDDB #AnxietyAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #CopingStrategies #EmotionalWellbeing

🧠 Why Daily Mental Health Matters 🌸 We celebrate World Mental Health Day to raise awareness, but isn’t mental health a daily priority? Think of it like this: Sending flowers on Valentine’s Day is beautiful, but doesn’t it mean more when it happens unexpectedly, on a regular Tuesday? 🌷 Similarly, we shouldn’t wait for a specific day to check in with ourselves and others. Mental health is a relationship we need to nurture consistently, not just when society tells us to. Taking small, daily steps—like mindful breaks, exercise, or even asking “How are you really?”—creates resilience and well-being that lasts. Let’s make mental health a regular part of our routine, just like love and care shouldn’t be confined to one day a year. #MentalHealthMatters #DailyWellbeing #SelfCare #Resilience #WorkLifeBalance

At work, that means creating environments where people feel safe to be vulnerable, seek support, and prioritize their mental wellness. Small acts matter: Check in with a colleague. How will you support mental health - yours and others' - today and every day? #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAtWork

🌿 World Mental Health Day: Let’s Break the Silence 🌿 Today, on #WorldMentalHealthDay, I want to share something personal. In the past, I experienced working with a toxic manager that took a serious toll on my mental health. It was a tough time, and I struggled with feelings of anxiety and depression. Mental health in the workplace matters. It’s important to recognize the signs of burnout, toxic environments, and stress. No one should feel ashamed to speak up, seek help, or make a change when their mental well-being is at risk. Let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health, especially in professional settings. If you’re going through something similar, know that you’re not alone—and that there are resources and support available. Take care of your mind as much as you would your body. 💚 #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma #WorkplaceWellness #YouAreNotAlone
