#Solarenergy #Renewableenergy #Portablebackupsystems #CytekSolar The Incredible Benefits of Going Solar☀ Switching to solar offers numerous advantages hence an excellent choice for homes and businesses. Below are some of the key benefits: 1. Significant Cost Savings: Solar generated energy allows you to reduce or eliminate your electricity bills. Solar panels generate enough energy meeting your daily energy needs. 2.Energy Independence: Going solar reduces your reliance on the grid. It ensures a consistent and reliable power supply. 3.Increased Property Value: Installation of a solar power system can increase your property value. Businesses and homes installed with solar energy are attractive to buyers who are keen on operating through a reliable source of energy. 4.Energy Security: With the fluctuating fuel prices, solar power provides long-term security. Solar generated power protects you from the rising energy costs and supply uncertainties. 5. Grid Feed-In Program: The SDG7(Sustainable Development Goal 7) is part of the 17 SDGs set by the United Nations in 2015. The SDG7 aims at ensuring access to #affordable, #reliable, #sustainable and modern energy for all. The Kenyan government is implementing various policies in support of the SDG7 and one of them is the introduction of Grid Feed-In Tariffs. This is made possible through net-metering, a billing mechanism empowering consumer who generate power from renewable sources such as #solar energy. During periods of high solar power production, the excess power flows back into the grid. Conversely, when your solar generation falls short of your needs, you draw electricity from the grid. Here, you are only charged for the net amount of electricity you have used from the grid minus the credits you've earned for feeding power back to the grid. Switch to solar today and enjoy the rewards for years to come.

The Australian government aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, with goals such as generating 82% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and supporting electric vehicle (EV) adoption by installing charging stations every 150km on major highways. To achieve this, more renewable energy sources like rooftop solar panels, EV chargers, and small-scale solar and wind farms will need to connect to the electricity grid. However, connecting these new energy resources to the grid may be too slow, creating a barrier to meeting these goals. The growing number of energy connections, especially those wanting to send power back to the grid, presents challenges for electricity distribution companies. The government is proposing improvements that can be made by requiring electricity distribution companies to follow specific rules (regulations) or offering financial rewards or penalties to encourage better performance (incentives). This paper provides 5 recommendations for streamlining the connection process and outlines whether they would be best implemented through a regulatory or incentive approach. • Establish baseline CER connection data • Require DNSPs to make it easy for proponents to access information about available capacity at prospective sites • Incentivise DNSPs to connect and energise EVSE and Large CER faster • Require DNSPs to provide clear requirements for the provision of a second connection • An alternative regulatory incentive approach specifically for EVSE projects Please provide feedback on the options presented via the https://buff.ly/3TnN8Fs website before Sunday, 22 September 2024. New analysis from Durham University Energy Institute reveals that tripling the UK’s solar capacity to 60GW by 2030 could slash electricity costs, reduce reliance on costly natural gas imports, and significantly cut emissions. Here’s why this matters: • A more ambitious 60GW target would deliver 12% lower system costs compared to current projections, paving the way for affordable, homegrown energy. • Distributed solar—on rooftops and solar farms—offers a swift, scalable solution to accelerate the UK’s clean energy transition while supporting thousands of jobs. • Solar energy paired with battery storage is the cornerstone of a smart energy grid, with 80% of residential installations already including batteries. Yet, outdated assumptions from the National Energy System Operator (NESO) risk capping solar growth at 47.4GW—missing out on these transformative benefits. 🌞 Solar Energy UK’s call to action: We urge the Government to embrace the latest deployment data, set a target of 50-60GW, and reform the grid connection process to prioritise ready-to-build projects. The time to act is now. Together, we can deliver the lowest-cost, cleanest energy system and power the UK’s clean energy future. The number of home batteries being installed in Australia in 2024 is hugely encouraging. That was one of the headlines in our Rooftop Solar and Storage Report for January-June 2024. Home batteries are the missing piece of the puzzle to help us maximise solar savings and lower household energy bills. We have been advocating for the Federal Government to put incentives in place to boost the uptake of batteries across the country. In our campaign 'It’s time to back batteries', launched in February, we reported that batteries could deliver savings in the region of $900+ per annum on energy bills, in addition to providing net savings to the energy system of around $190 million. Renewable energy sources firmed by storage are the future of Australia’s energy system, and it’s pleasing to see the country continuing to move in that direction.
