One of my favourite events of the year at Rakuten.ca. In today's fast-paced, technology-driven world, it's easy to get caught up in metrics, deadlines, and deliverables. But let's not forget the most crucial element of any successful organization: the people. Humanizing your team isn't just a nice-to-have; it's a must-have. Here's why: Boosts Morale and Engagement: When team members feel seen and valued as individuals, their motivation and engagement levels soar. They’re more likely to go the extra mile and contribute their best work. Fosters Innovation: A culture that celebrates diverse perspectives and encourages open communication leads to creative problem-solving and innovation. When people feel safe to express their ideas, magic happens. Builds Trust and Loyalty: Trust is the foundation of any strong team. By showing genuine care and empathy, leaders can build lasting relationships that withstand challenges and change. Enhances Collaboration: Humanized teams are more cohesive. When people understand and respect each other’s strengths and weaknesses, collaboration becomes seamless and more effective. Improves Well-being: A supportive and understanding work environment contributes to the overall well-being of team members. This not only reduces stress but also promotes a healthier work-life balance. Remember, at the heart of every successful project, every innovative idea, and every milestone achieved, are people. Let’s make sure we’re not just managing teams, but truly leading and humanizing them. #Leadership #TeamBuilding #HumanizeYourTeam #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeEngagement #EmpathyInLeadership
Yesterday, our team AND their families gathered at Earl Bales Park for what we like to call a Day-O-Fun! This annual event is one of our favourites of the year as we not only get to bond as a team, but we get to know their families as well.

📣 We are only about a week away from this fun, #festive #event! 🍂🎃 If you are planning to attend, here are a few important tips and reminders about your visit to our campus: - Please refrain from #parking 🅿️ in any numbered spots nearby that belong to our residents and use the 𝘂𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 #Visitor 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀 instead. - Remember, the Old State Road entrance near The Pavilion will be blocked 🛑, so #attendees should enter from State Road or Bethlehem Pike. We've shared a #campusmap in the comments below that should help direct you, including permitted parking. - We recommend having some #cash 💵 on hand, as many of our #vendors may not take credit cards or peer-to-peer (P2P) #payments, and we don't want you to miss out! - This event is #rainorshine (with some covered areas). If severe #weather is forecasted, a notification will be posted here on our #socials and/or on our #website roughly 24 hours prior to the event, so keep an eye out! - #Restroom facilities 🚽 will be available on-site, but The Community at Rockhill doors will 𝗻𝗼𝘁 be open to the #public. Click below to visit the #EventPage on #Facebook for more #helpful information!

Who is the North of the River (NOR) Chamber of Commerce? We are a grassroots organization founded in Oildale to support local business owners and community members. Over time, our reach has grown to serve the broader North Bakersfield area, including Oildale, Norris, Fruitvale, Riverlakes, and Rosedale. The NOR Chamber is committed to fostering business development, community collaboration, and economic growth. We provide workshops for businesses, host networking events, and award educational scholarships to students at all four high schools in North Bakersfield. Our focus extends wherever our community needs us, and we partner with local businesses and residents who share our commitment to growth and collaboration. At the NOR Chamber, we believe in the power of partnerships—our diverse and inclusive members work together with a hand-in-hand mindset to support one another. We invite you to join us at our monthly meetings! Every second Thursday, we host our E.D.G.E. Luncheon at Hodel’s, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. On the third Thursday of every month, we offer our Lunch and Grow Workshop Series at the University of La Verne. For more information, visit our website at www.norchamber.org, or to stay updated, email us at [email protected] to be added to our newsletter. For all my Senior friends from NorthJersey.com and the Greater Bergen County Community Actions - NJ program offers up to $15K in home renovations for vulnerable groups Healthy Homes program offers up to $15K in home renovations for vulnerable groups For those who find themselves struggling to afford the necessary home repairs and improvements to keep their environment safe, there's a new program that aims to help. Greater Bergen Community Action has launched its Healthy Homes program, an initiative that aims to remediate environmental hazards in 140 residential units throughout Bergen and Passaic counties. For each, the organization is offering up to $15,000 worth of essential home improvements — to address risks like mold, lead and structural deficiencies — to vulnerable income-eligible populations like seniors age 65 years and older, disabled individuals and families with young children. It is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Program Director Avery Headley said GBCA was one of just 20 organizations nationwide — and one of two in New Jersey — to receive the grant. https://lnkd.in/e2XMrhh7 https://lnkd.in/eVWB_HS4
