Honored to have been a part of the historic 2024 Ann Arbor Hash Bash, the largest gathering to date. This year held special significance with the recent passing of the legendary John Sinclair, whose legacy continues to inspire us all. Joined by Leni Sinclair, a true icon in the cannabis movement, we gathered at the steps of the U of M library to delve deeper into the advocacy beyond just "two joints." Adam Brook, affectionately known as Mr. Hash Bash, shared words from John's "It's All Good," reading his favorite poem, "Ain't Nobody's Bizness." Its message of freedom and resilience resonated deeply with us all, underscoring the ongoing fight for cannabis rights. Themed "We are Running out of Time," this year's protest was symbolic of the urgency felt within our community. As we reflect on the past and honor the advocates who bravely fought through adversity, we're reminded of the work that still lies ahead. Despite legalization in many states, there are still individuals behind bars for nonviolent drug offenses. The war on drugs is far from over, and it's crucial that we continue to push forward in the pursuit of justice. Events like the Ann Arbor Hash Bash serve as vital platforms for dialogue, reflection, and action, as we strive for a future where cannabis freedom is truly realized. Together, let's keep the momentum going and work towards a more equitable and just society. DECRIMINALIZE CANNABIS! SAY NO TO SCHEDULE #CannabisAdvocacy #HashBash #LegalizationMovement

• The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) and the Attorney General have failed to protect public health by allowing unsafe cannabis products from large corporations to be sold. • Instead of holding these corporations accountable, they have focused on eliminating black market cannabis, claiming it poses the greatest threat. • This misplaced focus allows harmful products from licensed producers to remain on the market, putting medical patients and the public at risk. • By prioritizing corporate interests over consumer safety, they undermine public trust and fail to fulfill their duty to protect Connecticut residents. #cannabis #cannabislaw #connecticutcannabis #medicalcannabis #democracy #connecticut #democrats #ctdemocrats #failure #corruption #cannabisnews
