When you are starting out as an entrepreneur, the most important muscle to build is decision-making: -Figuring out the right decisions to make - strategy-related -Making high quality decisions - finance-related -Then finally how to implement those decisions - ops-relate -- An argument for starting out in high brain damage, low margin businesses - like hospitality, property management, retail - is that you get a lot of opportunities to make decisions - big and small. Few decisions in businesses like these are truly fatal or irreversible. The only way to make progress in those businesses is to increase good decision-making throughput. -- Then after a few years of quality-decision making and seeing the positive impact, you have developed a deep confidence in your ability to operate. And your strategic and long-term thinking is grounded firmly in reality.

🚨 You are busy doing nothing! 🚨 For a long time, I struggled to get out of the doer mindset. Sometimes it's hard to let go. The feeling of "no one else would do it as well as I would"... 😓 Every successful person I look up to in business shares one common trait: they didn't just build businesses; they built systems. Without systems, businesses will fail. 🏢⚙️ Think about it, in multifamily real estate, did you REALLY have to spend 4 hours of your day underwriting that deal? 🤔 Since shifting my focus from building a business to building systems, and focusing on high-value tasks, my work has seen more impact and growth. 📈🌟 What systems have you implemented that transformed your business? Let's share and learn from each other! 🤝💡 #BusinessGrowth #RealEstate #Entrepreneurship #Multifamily #Efficiency #FinancialFreedom

Starting out in the IT world, was like Jumping into a whirlwind. Fast-paced, challenging and full of opportunities. But one thing became clear early on: businesses were looking for flexibility, especially when it came to IT infrastructure. That’s when I spotted the perfect gap in the market: IT Rentals/Leasing. This observation sparked an idea in me to bridge the gap in the market, leading to the creation of Prime Asset Source Private Limited, which focused on IT rentals and leasing. This model gave companies the freedom to scale without the upfront investment. But my journey didn’t stop there. Here are three key lessons I’ve learned along the way: 🏃🏻Adapt or Get Left Behind: The tech world moves quickly, and so do client needs. 🔎Transparency is Everything: Being honest and clear with clients, vendors and our own team has been our superpower. 🤝🏻Put Customers First, Always: Listening to what clients need and crafting solutions around those needs has been a game changer. Leading an IT company isn’t just about tech specs and hardware. It's about being open, adaptable and genuinely caring about the people you work with. It’s a journey, and every lesson makes it more rewarding. #ITrentals #ITleasing #equipmentrentals #leadership #entrepreneurship #businessstrategy

Starting a business comes with valuable lessons. Kemah shares what he would change if he had the chance to start over: 1️⃣ Avoid the "build it and they'll come" mentality: - Focus on sustainable growth and smart decision-making. - Resist the urge to invest in unnecessary equipment or services without the means to support them. 2️⃣ Prioritize cash flow and problem-solving: - Keep a buffer for unexpected expenses or equipment failures. - Having the financial flexibility to address challenges swiftly can save your business. 3️⃣ Start lean and save: - You don't need all the bells and whistles right away. - Save money, seize opportunities, and have the means to invest when the right moment arises. 4️⃣ Embrace technology and innovation: - Look for ways to leverage technology to streamline operations. - Consider alternative models where you don't have to invest heavily in assets. Remember, success lies in understanding your business and making strategic choices. It's not about doing everything at once but doing what matters most.
