2024 has been a year of challenges. A lot of the news has been disheartening. The one thing I can guarantee is that things will change. I am thankful to work with people who are kind, optimistic, and have grit. Happy Thanksgiving!

The holidays are often associated with traditions, whether they're old family traditions or new ones you've created with your family. Create a unique tradition with just you and your kids to make the holidays even more magical. Some ideas include Dad holiday bedtime story, day before Thanksgiving dumpling making, snowball war, or anything else unique. Talk with your kids about traditions and if you don't already have one, make a new one! Get more Dad Hacks like this at https://lnkd.in/gqGvCRXq

𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, but the reality is that while it's a period of celebration for some, it can absolutely be a period of sadness for others. I've experienced both joy and sadness across the years over different holidays, and I just wanted to put this out as a bit of a gentle statement to my network. -- If you've lost a family member or close friend and this is your first Thanksgiving and Christmas without them, I am thinking of you today. -- If you've suffered a major setback in the last year job-wise or otherwise, and find yourself in this season of the year reflecting on that in ways that are painful for you, I'm thinking of you today. -- If you're in spot where little joy is visible today, my hope is that you are able to find joy in the cracks and spaces where joy exists and that you are able to extrapolate that feeling into other areas of your world. In short, if you're in my network, I wanted to extend a Happy Thanksgiving from my family to you and yours today. As we near the end of 2024, I wish you fulfilment, contentment, and peace in the days ahead. May we balance the wheel between celebration of our accomplishments, fellowship with our loved ones, and (where necessary) learning our lessons along the road from here to 2025.

What Thanksgiving Means to Me (Even as a Canadian) As a Canadian, I don’t officially celebrate U.S. Thanksgiving, but I love the spirit of it. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and connect—something we all need more of. This season isn’t just about gratitude for what we have—it’s about gratitude for what we’re becoming. Are you thankful for the courage to pursue your dreams? For the determination to build a better future? For the moments that push you outside your comfort zone? Thanksgiving is the perfect lead-up to New Year’s—a chance to reflect on where you’ve been and where you’re headed. Your health, happiness, wealth, and love all begin with one decision: stepping out of your comfort zone and taking action. So, are you ready to create the life you’ve been dreaming about? Let’s start now. What’s your next bold move? Share it below. ------ Enjoy this? ♻️ Repost it to your network and follow Roger Thompson for more. Want to work towards getting promoted at work? An intention for you to work with this week..... I invite Thanksgiving week to be ______________ and _______________. We get to decide, and something magical happens when we take the 35 seconds to pause and make that intentional decision: we find ourselves with the direction we need to make choices that align with what we actually want. <<Have you decided how you'll fill in the blanks? I highly recommend doing that right now - do not scroll on - jot down those two words on a note or send yourself a text message. Here's when you'll think about intentions again, Sunday night when you're laying in bed thinking: that went too fast.>> Best Next Steps happen RIGHT NOW. They are not 15 steps from here. They're always right in front of us. This week, I'm choosing playful and nourishing. What are you picking? Was this helpful? Give this post a Like. 👍 Most of all I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s two days before Thanksgiving, twenty-one days after a contentious election, and Mercury went retrograde yesterday. Basically, the universe is daring us to have holiday misunderstandings and conflicts. 😅 Here are 3 tips to keep your Thanksgiving harmonious and (mostly) stress-free: 1️⃣ Define your best-case scenario. Focus on what you can control—like how you want to feel. Calm? Connected? Grateful? Let that guide your approach and interactions. 2️⃣ Remember: Nobody *wants* to be a jerk (ok, almost nobody). Most people are overwhelmed, overworked, and under-appreciated. Just about everybody is low on mental "RAM," and trying to do life in constant fight-or-flight mode. Reducing stress—yours and theirs—is a win for everyone. 😌✨ 3️⃣ Prioritize meaningful moments. Aim for a few positive, mutually beneficial conversations. Get people talking about things that light them up. Shifting into curious mode can transform the whole vibe. Listen, feast, embrace curiosity, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #breakingbread #community #connection
