Non-binding resolution? Israel could easily create a solution and achieve its military aim! If it would open its borders (Israeli) and create Blue Helmets/UN peace force controlled, UNHCR managed, refugee facilities in Israel, Israel could dismantle all military infrastructure in Gaza without causing any further civilian collateral damage. At the same time would the (disarmed) Gazans have a safe zone to go to with a high likelihood to be able to return home if Gaza becomes inhabitable again (currently it is no longer). Further, by involving the international community, a starting point for co-existence as equals can be created. There is no future for Palestine or Israel based on the narrative of its radicals..... anyone who wants to claim the territory exclusively for themselves will only find war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates at both sides hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals. Practically it means to go back to the times of Canaan and establish autonomous communities and spread them over the entire territory. These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in a confederation of communities sharing the country. There is space for all cultural identities this way. Currently, such scenario seems very far fetched, but, since the Palestinians belong to where they are and nobody outside is waiting for a Palestinian exodus, the most probable alternative scenario is that Israel will lose worldwide support and may no longer exist in 10 years from now. The first step is to immediately stop all violence, second is to accomplish a permanent ceasefire, meaning peacebuilding must start and people must learn to sustainably co-exist like in the days of Canaan! THE UK’s MORAL DECAY! Keir Starmer this is on you and your government!!! The sign displayed by the Metropolitan Police is a glaring symbol of moral decay and a betrayal of the values that democracy and justice are supposed to uphold. To single out travelers from Israel, a beacon of democracy in a sea of tyrannical regimes, while turning a blind eye to the atrocities in Syria, Sudan, and countless other regions, is not just hypocrisy, it is complicity. It sends a dangerous message that the only democracy in the Middle East, which fights to protect its citizens from terrorism, is held to a standard that brutal regimes will never face. This selective outrage is not about justice or truth; it is about pandering to those who despise Western values. Where is the call for accountability from those who bomb hospitals in Sudan or commit genocide in Syria? This is not oversight, it is moral cowardice masquerading as policy. The UK must decide what it stands for: will it defend its allies, its democratic values, and its integrity, or will it bow to those who cheer for its downfall? The time for hollow virtue signaling is over. The time for courage, for defending truth, and for standing with those who share our principles of freedom and democracy is now. Anything less is not just morally bankrupt, it is a betrayal of every life lost to uphold the ideals of liberty.
