// 🤝 Please share and spread this post 💌 in your circles! I have been fortunate enough in my career to have experienced a few choice euphoric moments of right-sized pride. Today feels like one of those days: I woke up this morning basking in the beauty of the fact that I styled a person that will be entering the White House to attend a momentous event that I’m deeply personally tied to. If it weren’t for living closely in my core values specific to modASH Styling: Honesty, Service, Integrity, Growth, Collaboration, Freedom, Creativity & certainly last but not least, Boldness - I wouldn’t have had this absolutely incredible experience + opportunity. Curious about how I locked in this client? SHE WAS A REFERRAL FROM A PRIVATE FB GROUP. From someone who knows me, who felt confident in what I’m capable of and trusted that I’d do a great job. It's women like Kelly Flowers supporting other women like this that empower us all to thrive. #internationalwomensday 2 days early but it's #iwd today and every day in my world! It is not lost on me that there are people talking about me in rooms I’m not in. I’m always willing to hold out my hand for others; it’s literally what makes me tick, but it never ceases to humble + amaze me when others do the same for me, especially when I didn’t directly ask for it. I signed on my 18th client last night. EIGHTEEN. I started this business, by happenstance and absolutely as a side hustle in late September, and by mid-October, I was laid off from my sales job, wondering if and how I could make this work for a sustainable + viable career shift. In just over 4.5 months, I have 18 clients, and that is just bananas to me. So the moral of this story is: SHOOT YOUR SHOT. I’m still in awe that I get to do what I love. I’m sometimes still surprised when things work out. And then I remember, EVERYTHING works out and always will. Everything is a learning experience. Everything happens as it's supposed to. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow and be in awe of the support I receive + equally give back.
