SkyDrive's up to five aircraft order by Bravo Aviation is far more in line with the realities of the VTOL market for which "In 2023, Airbus Helicopters logged 410 gross orders (net: 393), highlighting a steady market recovery with a strong performance this year for the light twin and medium twin helicopters. I have a real soft spot for the Tent 1000 because of the time I spent with ANA. Both the Trent 7000 and the Trent 1000 have not always been in the best place when it comes to turbine blade durability but sharing a common hot section is now starting to be a benefit rather than a hindrance as we can leverage the combined experience from the two engines to develop improvements. The Trent 7000 got its first update in late 2022 and our CEO mentioned yesterday at the full year results that he was with Boeing and the FAA last week to talk about how we get that same fix into the Trent 1000 by the end of this year. But even more exciting than that, it's the fact we can now talk about the next phase of improvements which will improve time on wing by up to 30% through a combination of improvements to the hot section - combustors, guide vanes and turbine blades. This isn't the end of the story for the Trent 7000 and Trent 1000. We're, hopefully, turning the page where the story was about the pain and disruption we've caused to our customers and ourselves - and we can start talking more optimistically about what comes next!

When we describe our aircraft, the word "safety" immediately comes to mind. However, the phrase "10-9" may not ring a bell for many! It is the safety standard level in aviation at which we will certify our #VoloCity aircraft. It means that the VoloCity can only have one critical failure in a billion flight hours – a prerequisite by EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency to ensure our aircraft is one of the safest modes of transport to currently exist. How safe? Once certified, our VoloCity will be as safe as a commercial airliner. If you are male, married, middle-income and live in a city, it is a sunny day and your air taxi is a multicopter, you will be more willing to fly on an electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) vehicle, concludes a study by the Washington State Department of Transportation's Aviation Division.
