🚀 NEW FEATURE RELEASE 🚀 As the Stacker Newswire grows, personalization becomes more and more important. Most publishers we work with have specific niches they look for our support on. Sometimes it’s a beat or a location…but lately the most common request is helping them develop content for specific audiences they are growing. And so we responded. Adam Hurst and Kristen Wegrzyn led the charge to tag our stories based on the audience they would most resonate with. We then expose that filtering both in our Story Hub and RSS feeds. All tagging is done manually by human editors to ensure tags are highly relevant to the story. Sure, we may eventually automate this and provide suggested tags to our editors, but it was imperative to us that we begin with precision. And that we reduce the likelihood of any algorithmic bias or stereotyping. Today we offer 8 filters focused on Black communities, LGBTQ+ communities, parents, technology enthusiasts, and more. If you’re interested in learning more or seeing a demo, just let me know in the comments!
Such a great new way of segmenting content as overall volume has grown this past year. Going to help make sure the right stories find the right audience. Great work from the team, excited to ship this! 🚀
