Keller Army Community Hospital is utilizing ‘Scheduled Virtual Visits’ on My Military Health – for some beneficiary appointments. My Military Health Virtual Visits is replacing the current MHS Video Connect system as your new platform for virtual care. Scheduled Virtual Visits offer the same high-quality care you expect from an in-person visit from a location that’s convenient and comfortable for you. Virtual video appointments allow you to see your care team without having to take time off work, juggle child or elder care issues, and saves travel time and expense. All documentation related to a virtual video visit will be captured in your chart in MHS GENESIS. Please be aware that virtual video appointments are not recorded. If you choose to have an in-person visit, this option is still available. This is not a change in healthcare, but an evolution in healthcare to better serve the Greater West Point community and our beneficiaries. 🌍 Conflicts in the #MiddleEast have historically been complex and volatile. It's essential to stay informed about current events and developments to understand the trajectory of any ongoing disputes. 🌟 I intend to expand upon this matter, focusing on its relevance to #publichealthprofessionals. Below are my initial considerations. 👉 I am interested in soliciting professional contributions on pertinent topics. 🪖 RESERVE SOLDIERS SUMMONED TO ACTIVE DUTY I can think of two scenarios that could prompt the activation of reserve soldiers: Firstly, to supplement active-duty forces following operations requiring more resources than anticipated, ensuring readiness for similar situations. Secondly, to bolster forces in anticipation of increased challenges or shifts in warfare, such as emerging threats or evolving tactics, enhancing overall preparedness and capability. ⚕️IMPLICATIONS FOR PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Military mobilization involving the activation of reserve soldiers presents significant implications for public health professionals. These include strains on healthcare systems, heightened #surveillance for health impacts, intensified #communityoutreach efforts, collaboration with military #healthservices, and adaptations to #emergencypreparedness plans. Effectively addressing these implications requires proactive measures to safeguard #communityhealth and #healthcare system #resilience. #publichealth #halksağlığı #war #warfare #savaş
