From Gonzaga students to retirees to recently arrived immigrants, our diverse group of volunteers dynamically enrich and support our programs, including those they serve. Rebuilding community together, piece by piece. The solution starts when we relate as equal members of one world. We all want a community where everyone can live with dignity. Where we ALL are sheltered, loved, and valued. Join us SecondGrace.LA Comprised of compassionate individuals and small, yet powerful non-profit organizations, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. At SecondGrace.LA, we believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Recognizing that by pooling our resources and expertise, we can make a significant difference in the lives of the unhoused population we serve. By working side-by-side, the unhoused are seen not as others to be helped, but as equal partners in the effort. https://paulasplund.com/

It’s taboo to mention anything politics, but with the US election taking place I think it’s worth calling out the importance of participating in elections and understanding the principles and policies of your elected officials. With Movember in mind, it’s important to understand that the way you vote has a direct impact on your access to health care both physical and mental. Donations to organizations like Movember are incredibly helpful, but the real power comes in the way your governments invest your tax dollars in different programs and partnerships. To support programs that provide more access to men’s health programs please consider donating here: https://lnkd.in/dmghukQ7

Today, on Human Rights Day, we’re reminded of the universal right to safety, dignity, and respect—principles that should guide every aspect of society. At Atira, we work to uphold these rights, providing support to those whose lives have been affected by violence and systemic barriers. Our commitment to housing, mental health, and community support is part of a broader mission: to ensure that these essential rights are accessible to everyone, especially those who have faced marginalization. Join us in advancing a world where human rights aren’t just ideals but realities.
